Recommendation for good Shop to work on Modified R56
1975_mini replied to Rob Mc's topic in Maintenance & Modifications
I do all my work in VA, but I can highly recommend GTPeace in Chantilly. Great shop that is comfortable with everything from routine service to track builds. A tuned ecu will not bother them. -

I think the Delmarva club was signing up for Annapolis, so that might have filled a lot of there spots
-
I think a few folks are still attending and I also believe a few from other MINI clubs will be there. It is a good show and worth the trip.
-
We have decided to cancel the drive to the event due to lack of interest.
-
Welcome back, look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

What did you do to your Mini today?
1975_mini replied to Lt. Dan's topic in Maintenance & Modifications
It should be in the bottom, that means the filter is stopping it. The air flow is pulled into the bottom of the box, and flows up through the filter and then out the top pipe to the engine. Still good the clean out any debris as fine gravel can prematurely wear the filter or larger debris like leaves can obstruct air flow. -
We look forward to seeing everyone this morning. The store at the end point requests guests wear a mask. Please remember to have one with you.

What did you do to your Mini today?
1975_mini replied to Lt. Dan's topic in Maintenance & Modifications
Are you running and amp, it should have a signal wire running to the head unit that turn the amp on when the head unit is on. If not the jack in the boot is wired to the ignition (at least in gen2) that would be a good source to pickup power that would power the fan with the ignition. -
You can just show up, there is day of registration (just no t-shirt/swag) or folks can pull off into guest parking if they do not want to have their MINI in the show. I am not sure what the guest fee is, I will find out.
-
You have no choice. And you have to wait for the order to come with you key from MINIUSA (new jersey) and they have to program/ sync it with you car.

Awesome, we look forward to Starting the June HSB run from there
