  3. Susan, Sorry to here. At least the only got the mirror and not any body work. Any mechanics shop can replace the mirror since no body work is required. Not to sound like a broken record, but GTPeace is a good place to call. Sorry, I forgot exactly where you are their shop is in Chantilly. They can order the replacement and install. I am pretty sure the will just need to pop the interior door panel and undo the bolt that holds the mirror housing on. I have not been in the inner workings of a Gen3 yet. All-in I would guess under $500 depends on the cost of the replacement part. Unfortunately Gen3's are not in the pick a parts yet, or we could pull you a replacement. DO you have heated mirror, I thing thats whats hanging, but wanted to confirm
  4. David, Talk to me about it at the run. I have been a little vinyl around the club and will gladly help out. -Corey
  5. Here are the GXP files for the route this year. There is not, unfortunately there are few stops just up the road, I can let you know at the drivers meeting
  6. Goodie always take priority, we never take it personal if someone bails at the end point. Coming out and driving is the important part.
  7. There are a decent amount of them for sale in the US prices are a bit crazy like everything right now. join classic Mini parts trader USA on Facebook and there are a few for sale on their. That group has most of us with classic in the US. So it a good pool of folks that will know where decent one are for sale. also the Facebook group capital Mini register is all the classic owner in the area. Quite a few more than you would think. I think there are 5 DCMM club members with them now.
  8. These are great brakes, I currently run hawks on the coupe. If you have a gen2 non JCW or gen1 JCW you should grab these.
  9. Got adjustable struts in, and a 25mm sway bar in this weekend.
  10. We have had issues on both the clubman (R55) and countryman (R60), seems to be a pretty common issue with the rake of the windshields in MINIs. I have been luck and not had an issue with it in my coupe (R58), but those windshield are raked back a bit more.
  11. I just submitted my registration for the season, who wants to join me. As a sister company to BMW they have MINI classes, lets make it a fill it up will fun MINIacs. I have been wanting to do this for a few years, and signing up for the season not only saves a few bucks it also grantees I get out there.
  12. Congrats, hope to see you at an event this spring
  13. The platypus mounts work well to mount a front plate without requiring holes in the front bumper.
  14. realistically the answer it, It depends. Is the downpipe you are looking at a cat deleted one or does it have a free flow cat? Have you changed the exhaust system and modified the second cat from OEM? 1) if it changes the emissions enough to trip a code, automatic fail at an inspection station. Clearing the code before driving will result in a no test due to the ecu "ratting you out". You will have to drive about 100 miles to reset. 2) If it removes the downpipe cat, then by the law it fails, but that requires the inspector to know the car hasa second cat, and checks to see if it is there. So depending on the inspector or day it could pass or fail. Now if someone was you pass through a rapidpass mobile test, they would be able to go to the website and for a small convenience fee pay for their emission test if they passed (I have never seen a failed one), and there would be no physical inspection. Where might these tester be? https://rapidpassvirginia.com/VaPublic/Locations
  15. Maybe you will get lucky and some ice or snow slides it a week. That has been the case the last two years

  18. Good looking MINI, I would agree with @SneakyBaron any time I am not doing the work myself I go to GTPeace. They are comfortable doing everything from basic service to track mods. If you are looking at ECU tunes, check out detriottuned.com, They are good friends of the club and produce high quality parts. They also go ECU tunes, you pull and ship your ECU to them and they return it with a staged tune. I know @MELO-R56 did this, and can speak to it. He has an 09 which was a year MINI tuned out the pop and burbles, and they were able to add them back in with his tune.
  19. Congrats, on your MINI purchase, we look forward to see you at a drive once we get through winter. Look forward to seeing photos
