I knew I saw a BRG up ahead this AM but the traffic was slugging along.

 

Sure enough... it was HW MINI in all his Hot Wheels glory! I couldn't get a wave in before exiting but I think we exchanged Turbo howls!:rock:

Tagged a red Gen2 MCS in the parking lot of Potomac Mills shopping center with rally lights and white windshield wipers around 3:30 pm today.

 

edit: Also tagged a black Gen2 MCS by the Burger King in the Potomac Mills shopping center plaza, it had a small Harley Davidson sticker on the bottom right of the boot window.

I tagged two MINIs in DC today, this is a record for me. There was a Pepper White Clubbie and best of all

 

A HOT ORANGE S, it was like a little naked Tigger, not even stripes. In some ways without any vinyl it looked even more orange!!!!

I rolled down the window and conversed with a guy in a clubman this morning at the corner of Baron Cameron & Reston Parkway on my way to work...hopefully he'll join the club.

 

There's a Blue MINI in my apartment complex, I spoke to the owner, I think she's watching the forum...but has yet to chime in or join.

 

I would like to think that EVERY MINI OWNER would join the forum (or want to). Then again I've ALWAYS had an optimistic outlook on everything.

You would think they would all want to join. I have experienced two people that ran away from me like I was trying to sell them something. It was weird. Not everyone wants to be one with us :hmmmm::dontknow:

Some people just aren't social and they buy the cars because they get good gas mileage and it gets them to/from work. That's why I'm never pushy with folks unless they show an inclination to talk cars. Oh, and when I do that, I only talk about their car and how cool it is.

I notice EVERY MINI around me and look at the driver of everyone (in hopes of an acknowledgement or a wave) and VERY VERY few (Dayum near none) even look in the direction of another MINI. It's sad. No, it's pathetic.

 

What has this world come to where the SECOND most freedom providing and pleasant experience (driving) has become a secluded isolationist event. Motoring used to be about the open road and sharing, meeting and enjoying new people, places & things. what happened to the passion? Fun? Enjoyment?

I notice them all too, and have also rarely even gotten a look in return. I wondered if it was Countryman hate, but that can't account for all of them. I think it's just because I haven't seen any of you on my day-to-day travels yet.
