I just got a GoPro Hero (not HD) from Costco for $99.

I have a few misc R53 parts for sale. OE knee bolster, $15. OE Tensioner with 90K on it plus two stock belts each with 35K on them, all for $35. OE coolant expansion tank, $15. Cubby, $10.

I broke my lower aero grill today; thats the one that fits in the R53 bumper and requires custom cutting. Anybody got one?

After three years in a tent at the base of Fontana Dam I have now reserved a room in the Lodge for next year.

I had to leave Saturday. 520 miles door to door for the return trip to Centreville; 1360 miles driven in total. I hope everyone had a great Saturday and a safe drive back today.

I suspect that FedEx could get the parts to Fontana Lodge before noon on Thursday; hard to do much better than that.

As I recall from last year when I needed similar service, there was not a 'business center' per se, but I was able to prevail upon the front desk to print off something for me.

I plan to get somewhat of a head-start on the Wednesday morning departure group by staying Tuesday night at our place at the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway (i.e., Wintergreen). However, I would still appreciate a few cell phone numbers from the group in case of trouble, and if I encounter any unexpected obstacles or detours I will be happy to report. Mine is 703-795-5000. As I recall, early '02 did not have a provision for an auxilliary jack, so your best bet may be to get a used head unit from a later year.

I have a virtually complete collection of National Geographics from 1975 through 2004. Anybody want them? I hate to throw them in the trash, but I have to get rid of them. Will deliver within reason.

Hopefully it will be nothing more than an inexpensive, relatively-easy-to-fix, repair of the shift linkage. But somebody needs to put the car up on a lift and take a good look.
