  1. Reviving this! Picked up a chip on my way down to the MTTS event on Saturday, by Sunday morning it was a looooooong crack. No chance to get it filled, will have to see about a replacement I'm going to review my insurance options of course, but who that is local has had any great service or horror stories as of late?
  2. Sold! Sorry all, and thanks for writing! Oddly, I wasn't notified...
  3. **UPDATE SOLD*** Selling the Wheels and Tires, $325 OBO! Tires definitely have some life left in them. Sorry for the blurry cell phone pics, but you can pick out Abe's head clearly enough. Two tires have more tread than the other, pretty typical. I sanded and painted these (with help) last spring, then picked up winter wheels and tires myself in the fall! I was lucky enough to get some summer performance tires and wheels, so these have just sat gathering cobwebs after about 6 months of use. There is no damage to the wheels, they look great! Plus, easy to add another coat to if you so choose...and hey, they're Mini wheels you can use while your good ones hibernate! With the cold weather finally showing up, this is a great time to pick up an extra set of wheels! Keep them as they are, or slap some new winter specific rubber on there! Cash Only! No Shipping!
  4. Hands down, Carlos is the person to go to. You can see me rave about him in a few posts on NAM, and I've sent several other peoples cars to him as well. He does excellent work, stands behind the quality of his work, and he knows how to apply tint well in the Mini. I had to get new tint put on my drivers window after I got broken into back in the fall, and Carlos checked out how his work was holding up in the other areas of my Mini. He spotted a TINY bubble that I had never seen, and told me to set time aside when I could and he'd take that tint out and do a fresh install. You really won't find a better tint service anywhere else.
  5. I did it in probably less than 10 minutes. There are instructions on how to do it "blind" by not pulling much apart, or you can just pull it out. I chose to avoid the "blind" route - a little bit extra effort up front, but it was the only way to really be sure I wouldn't break something or jam it into the wrong place. Plenty of others have done the "blind" install; it just wasn't my cup of tea. It is a super handy addition, and you'll quickly find yourself used to having it.
