  1. Don't you need one for each Gen? You don't have an R53 yet...

    Pre-Picnic Run

    Got it, thanks! :top:

    Pre-Picnic Run

Actually Alex, this is a semi-tradition. I know we had pre-picnic runs in 2010 & 2013... and I think there was an informal one in 2011 as well. Still, glad you're doing it - that's awesome! :top:
  4. Be careful about that on Tigger, Ali... since our 1st Gen hood scoops serve a very important function, something like this could restrict airflow to the intercooler. Less of an issue on 2nd & 3rd Gens though.
  5. THAT... WAS EPIC! Thanks again to Ali, Catalina, Sherri, Melissa, Hilary and Laura for all of your hard work to make this event happen. Susan and I had a blast! :motor::top::congrats:
  6. You don't need TPMS sensors on wheels for a 1st Gen... they rely on wheel speed sensors for their TPMS instead.
  7. I finished patching already - thankfully this month's set was lighter than the normal. Packing up and heading there momentarily...

    PD Party

Yep... if you edit the DAY/TIME of the event, it does that... because people promised to come at the original time, not the new one. It actually makes perfect sense. You can edit the TEXT of the event without losing RSVPs though. :top:
  9. Park, immediately walk into Kohl's, and buy something. Keep the receipt... and they can't tell you you are not there for a good reason (although I suppose they could still ask you to leave since your shopping is finished).

Welcome to the DCMM forums, Matt! (and to the DC region) Definitely check out our event calendar and come out to meet us! We hope you really like it here and decide to join the club as a member.
  11. Well, we do have the Was it you??? thread, which is pretty much the same thing.
  12. Welcome to the DCMM forums! It's always nice to see new faces, especially 1st Gen owners, as they are quickly becoming collector's items, having been out of production for 9 years now (7 years in the case of the R52 convertible). I hope you like what you see and consider joining as a club member! :top:
  13. Hmm - those wheels almost look like a Union Jack... I don't suppose a red/white/blue motif that simulates a British flag would work?
  14. I might come by late, if anybody is still left. After burning the midnight oil the past 2 nights, I only have one more server to patch but I can't touch it until 7pm... which means the earliest I could get there is ~7:45pm... if things go smoothly.
  15. Wow, Gainesville... that's a long way out. It's on a Saturday though, and Colin is awesome... hmmm.
  16. Yeah, me too. I think I'm still in recovery from the trip... I blame the stress of getting back into the swing of things at work.
  17. DOH! I swore I typed your name... FIXED! :embarassed:
  18. Hey - just a quick thanks to: Mark Ali Melissa German Krystal Sherri Craig Hilary ...for your company on the return trip from MOTD yesterday! I thought it went very well and it was nice to have company for the drive back. Sorry to Mark, Ali, German & Krystal for the rest of us pulling away once we got to 66 but I think we were just too eager to get home at that point! (and a special thanks for not leaving too ridiculously early - it was a big relief not to hear "7 am" when I asked  ) It's always nice to know we have such good support in the club. :top:
  19. Yeah that was great! It wasn't anywhere near as crowded as Alex warned / I feared, either. It was loud in there though, but that's to be expected with happy hour at a bar. Thanks for those who came - my folks really enjoyed it too. :top:
  20. 4 of us here so far when you walk in, our table is down in the back corner, near the bathrooms.
  21. One last thing... the sign for BJs is not lit for some reason so it's hard to spot at night. It's on the corner (ground floor) of the building that says "DXL Men's Apparel" and "Neisha Thai Cuisine".
  22. I went ahead and made a reservation for 12, in case we get a few last minute additions (or Maybes changing to Yes). It's either under the name "Mark" (my middle name) or "DC Metro MINIs" - I'm not sure which because I told them both. I look forward to catching up tomorrow evening! Oh yeah, before I forget... watch out for the speed bump on the East side of the building (when driving alongside the restaurant to get to the garage parking). It's a doozy - go EXTRA SLOW over it! Don't ask me how I know... :s:
  23. Hmm... thanks for the good tip. I'll call and see if we can reserve a table when I have a better idea of the numbers (i.e. Thursday morning).
