  1. Cleaning out the garage (to make room for more parts no doubt) and have some suspension bits for sale. Springs: Sold Struts: Selling two used Koni Adjustable front struts for R53 MINI that were on the car for about 8 months, maybe 5,000 miles and about 9 track days. The adjustment tab on the right strut has broken off, set on the softest setting. (I ran Konis for years on my previous track/autocross MINI and usually left the fronts on the softest setting anyway.) These retail for about $225 each. Asking $200 for the pair ($125 for the good one + $75 for the broken tab one.) I can also get you a set of new rears for an additional $300 if you buy the fronts. (Note: You may have to drill out the rear spring plate and swap out the top rear strut mount if your current suspension isn't the same size as the Koni. On one MINI we had to do that, on the other we did not. I don't recall the difference between the two. Sport suspension perhaps?) Prefer not to ship. Rear Swaybar. Sold Paypal or cash. PM if questions or interested. Parts are located in Mt. Airy, MD.
  2. Tom: as Edge said, regular valves, though I do have a set of TPMS valves somewhere I think. With offset measurement, lower number is more pushed out toward edge of the fender. Generally offset of 35-50 works with a 7 inch rim on a Gen 1 car on stock suspension. I've gone as far as 32, depending on how square the shoulder/wide the tire tread without rubbing. No dry rot. Wheels don't have any curb rash, but they've had two sets of tires installed and a couple of track days do there are normal scratches/wear you would expect. Nothing really noticeable from 5 feet. Hope that helps.
  3. SOLD: R56 Cooper S brakes for your R56 or R53. The Gen 1 JCW Sport Brake kit featured the same calipers that became standard on the R56 Cooper S. New JCW kits for Gen 1 cars are hard to find so many people try to piece together their own. Here I've done the hard work for you. These calipers bolt straight on to your R50/R52/R53/R56 MINI (you do need to buy larger rotors for Gen1 cars, however.) Offered up for sale is a pair of stock R56 calipers, painted with red ceramic paint. (Because, red....) Calipers were just rebuilt with new seals, dust boots, and bellows. They also come with used Brembo street performance pads that have about 90% of pad remaining. Asking price: Sold
  4. Sold. Too many wheels + small garage = something has to go. Selling a set of Sparco Assetto Gara wheels with Continental ExtremeContact DW Max Performance Summer Tires. Both are a couple of years old and have maybe 10,000 miles on them. The wheels are 17x7, 4x100 bolt pattern, 37 offset and weigh 18.4 lbs each. They are painted silver and sell for $143 each new at Tirerack (Silver is not currently available new). They come with center caps and centering rings. They should fit Gen 2 MINIs as well as Gen 1, but I've never tried. They are in very good shape with some scratches and tire marks, but no curb rash. The tires are 205/45R17s. They have about 60% of tread remaining (6/32nd). Great tires in the wet or dry. I think they're fairly quiet, but hard to tell given how loud everything else is with my car. Good for spirited driving, but not great on the track -- sidewalls are not that stiff. This combo is about $1,000 new. Sold.
  5. Sold: Set of 4 used Bilstein Sport Shocks for 2002-2006 MINI Cooper S. About two years old, approx. 15,000 miles. Engineered specifically for use with lowering (sport) springs. Patented digressive valving delivers exceptional road handling and cornering stability with sport springs without the harsh ride. They also reduce wear and tear on steering and suspension components and increase tire life by matching their dampening rates to the increased firmness of sport springs. Set of 4 used H&R Sport Springs for 2002-2006 MINI Cooper S. About 18 months old, approx. 10,000 miles. Improve your vehicle's performance and appearance with a set of H&R Sport springs. The progressive-rate design of the springs provides superb ride quality and comfort while reducing body roll for better handling. Plus they eliminate the visual gap in the fender well for better appearance. These springs will lower the vehicle 1 inch in the front and .75 inch rear. (Note: you will need a set of adjustable rear camber arms to correct rear camber when using lowering springs on a R53.) Used H&R 19mm rear swaybar. 2-way adjustable bar with new bushings. H&R Sport Sway Bars are designed for drivers who desire improved handling without lowering or affecting ride quality. H&R Sport Sway Bars increase your suspension’s roll stiffness—or its resistance to roll in turns—while maintaining ride comfort and dramatically increasing cornering control, lateral stability, and grip. A unique feature of H&R Sport Sway Bars are the smooth, machined-like forged ends that, for specific vehicles, allow for adjustability in stiffness—giving you an unmatched level of precision and performance. Also fits R50 and R52 MINIs. PM if interested or if you have questions. Can ship at buyer's expense or deliver in the metro DC area. Paypal preferred.
  6. Sold: A used stainless steel IC Diverter from DDMWorks. About a year old, in excellent condition. More air = more power. Fits 2002-2006 6-speed R53 Cooper S. New $148, asking $85 shipped ($75 picked up). PM if interested. Paypal preferred.
  7. Sold: A set of used fixed camber plates from Ireland Engineering for the R50, R52, and R53. These add approximately 1.25 degrees of negative camber to the stock front suspension and up to 2.1 degrees of negative camber when used with lowering springs like H&R Sport Springs. The stock Mini has very little front camber. This additional camber really improves handling without significantly affecting tire wear. They do not require drilling any holes and your strut brace will still fit. May cause spring binding if your springs are wider than stock. The bearings have been cleaned and repacked and move freely. (Recommend you clean and repack them annually if you live someplace that salts/sands the roads.) Includes new nuts/washers not shown. Recently repainted. PM if interested or have any questions. Price: $95 shipped to lower 48. Paypal preferred.
  8. Sold: Used Screamin' Demon high-voltage coilpack for R53. Bolting on a Screamin' Demon Coil gives a longer duration spark which burns fuel more completely. The result is smoother acceleration with less power drop off. Even if your not looking for performance this is a cost effective replacement for the stock coilpack which is prone to corrosion on the #3 and 4 plug wire terminals, resulting in a spark loss. Maximize performance with high capacity wires. For cars with flat connector pins (see photo.) MSD Super Conducter 8.5mm Spark Plug Wires for R53, used. MSD's 8.5mm Super Conductor wires have a special, helically wound core that offers just 40-50 ohms of resistance per foot--but with an RFI suppression equal to a 1,500 ohm wire. In fact, each foot of finished wire features 40 feet of tightly wound copper for superior conductivity. A tough 8.5mm synthetic Red silicone jacket over an extra-heavy glass braid and dielectric insulator keeps the current guided to the plugs. Underneath the high-temperature boots, stainless steel terminals feature snap locks to ensure a secure fit. Fits R50 as well. The coil pack is probably 3 years old (I think I replaced the stock coilpack right after I bought the car in June '11.) The plug wires are two years old. Prices: Coilpack, shipped $50. [$40 picked-up.] Plugwires, shipped $45. [$40 picked-up] Both, shipped $90 [$75 picked-up] Located in Mt. Airy, MD. Paypal preferred. PM if interested or questions.
  9. Yes still available, and yes local. Sent you a PM.
  10. Yes, these rotors are for stock (non-JCW) Gen 1 calipers. (The original listing included a set of stock calipers, but they have been sold.)
  11. The GeorgeCo Garage Sale is coming to an end. (Watch out for the GeorgeCo Shed Sale as soon as we clean out the shed, after it snows, again....) K&N Panel Drop-in Panel Filter for stock R53 airbox. I have two of them for sale. One is about five years old and the other is two years old (two different cars). I would use the stock airbox and K&N filter during the winter, and then switch back to CAI in the Spring. The older filter has seen approx. 40,000 miles, the newer one closer to 15,000 miles, but heck, since these are both "million-mile filters" they're just starting out. Washable and re-oilable, these were both recently washed and are being sold un-oiled. Pick up a can of oil and filter cleaner at your local parts store. These sell for about $50 new, asking $25 each including shipping to lower 48. [The one on the left in the photo is the newer one.) UNI Dual Layer "Clamp-on" Pod Filter. Black inner and red outer foam filter with urethane flange. Overall filter is 9 inches long with the filter length 8 inches and width 4.5 inches. Inner diameter of the flange is 2 7/8 inches (73mm). Filter is used but in excellent condition. It came with my DDM CAI but didn't fit well (CAI needs 2 3/4 in filter flange.) Only used for test fitting. Washable and re-oilable. Recently washed and is being sold un-oiled. Buyer will need to get a filter cleaning kit from UNI.. New is about $40, asking $30. Stock R53 airbox cover (called "cover intake muffler" in the parts catalog.) From a 2006 R53, used but in good condition. For some reason, I have two so I don't need this one. These are $32 new, asking $20. Drilled MINI Partition Cowl (called "Partition left" in the parts catalog.) Like the mystery airbox cover, I have two of these also. If you have a CAI that didn't remove the cowl, or if you removed the cowl and want to let in air but not debris, then this is the mod for you. Drilling the cowl allows the CAI to draw air from the cowl vent, but still gets some protection from water splashing into the box. New (undrilled) is $28, asking $20 shipped. Unless noted, items sold "as-is". For all items, I will deliver in metro DC area. PM if interested or if you have questions. Paypal preferred.
