  1. Well, they kinda do - it's called a JCW Countryman.
  2. Me. No point for me, except on the way back. Thankfully I have my return pass from the last time I used it.

Ceramic will last longer (less fading or peeling) and also blocks more heat (40-50% more!) at the same percentage. No issue with technology blocking, as it is non-metallic. Worth the premium, IMO.

I doubt it. He'll have both rolls there with him, and he'll cut from the roll you ask for.
  5. It does. I have the R56 JCW rear sway bar on my R53.
  6. If the shoe fits...
  7. <cough> Ahem.
  8. That was a short but sweet run - thank you! I wish we could have stayed for lunch, with with the pups, and the fact we had to get out to Charlestown, WV for a family cookout, it just wasn't possible. Thank you Alex and Ali for organizing it! :top:
  9. It's only Wednesday... I won't know whether or not we're coming for a few days.
  10. Excellent! Yeah, it's easy to forget... but it really helps with the count for events. In particular, the "Maybes" ought to update either Yes or No once they know for sure (and include the # of guests, if applicable).
  11. Don't forget to update your RSVP above. :top:
  12. OK, thanks Alex. Unfortunately, since she doesn't have her own DCMM forum account, there was no way for me to RSVP Yes and simultaneously have her RSVP as Maybe.
  13. Unfortunately I don't have an immediate answer... she wants to come, but there are a few other factors at play. I'll follow up with her this afternoon when she gets off work and see if she has any more indication... and I'll explain that you need to get the reservation locked in today.
  14. Awesome! Welcome indeed! If you like, we can move this whole thread to the "New Member Welcome" forum in the Members area.
  15. Welcome to the DCMM Forums, Erik! We hope you like it here and consider joining us as a member. Hope to meet you at an event soon, too! :top:
  16. Seems to me this is just as much a club dinner as a "happy hour"... but that's fine by me, because I generally order food either way, no matter what we call it!
  17. You and I are on the same page, brother. Gas, bio intake and bio output, all in the one stop. :top:
  18. Cool - just making sure. When I hear "gallery" I usually think "fancy pants".
  19. There's no dress code, right?
  20. OK, I've created a route sheet for this... Susan and I will be doing the practice run on Thursday (5/12). Anyone is welcome to join us - or if you'd like a copy of the route sheet to do it on your own, I'll print a few extras and bring them with me.
  21. That does sound fun. :top:
  22. Yep - hi again, Craig! :wavey: My morning was less than productive. I actually got up early today, threw on clothes and got Mr. OEM to PMoA before they opened (3rd in line) for my service appointment. I have been trying to set up a pre-MOTD service appointment for almost 2 weeks now, making clear each time that I needed a loaner car. We had it all set up for this morning - my SA, emailed me yesterday (even though it was his day off), to say that he was having one of his coworkers set aside a loaner for me. Well - when I get there this morning, and I'm in line outside, he calls me and tells me that someone took the loaner. Basically, another of his coworkers raided the "reserved" loaner and left me hanging. So - off to Enterprise it was. I didn't get a car for an hour after I checked in Mr. OEM. Painful! Then, ironically... as I was sitting in the rental from Enterprise, before I even drove off the lot, my SA called me back and said he had managed to obtain a loaner, and asked if I could come back. So... I took the Enterprise paperwork back in, and they gave me a ride back to PMoA again so I could get the loaner. I have said for years that PMoA doesn't have enough loaners. I have said this multiple times to the General Manager, David Hellmuth... and each time he defends himself by rattling off some large number about how many loaners they have. Regardless of how many they have now, it's still not enough! They should be able to keep up with the demands of their customers, and they just don't. I counted at least 10 service customers (including me and Craig) this morning who needed to be picked up by Enterprise for a rental. Anyway - rant over. My hopes for an early start today (including getting to work early) were completely shot by this nonsense! :hmpf: P.S. Oh, and get off my lawn! :argh:
  23. Great idea - we're in! :top:
  24. Small update - I found what looks to be a slightly longer (but more fun!) alternate route - about 2.5 hours of driving each way and ~112 miles. I'm going to try to put some bathroom breaks in the middle each way also, as I realize not everyone can drive that far without a pitstop.
  25. So I hinted a month or two ago that I may be organizing a run for MOTD this year. It turns out I have been too busy to organize an official run (MOTD registration, RSVPs, etc.), but I have decided to go ahead and do a practice run for it anyway - work out the kinks, and maybe make it a "real" run next year at MOTD 15 (in 2017). The run would basically be from Fontana Village to the new Bold Rock Hard Cider location in Mills River, NC, which is a little bit south of Asheville. It would involve lunch either at the cidery (if they serve food) or somewhere nearby the cidery, and of course cider tasting. The fastest route from Fontana to the cidery is 105 miles and about 2 hours driving, according to Google Maps. I may experiment with adding a bit more distance and time to that to make it more "fun" (backroads vs. highway), but finding the right balance of drive time vs. curvy roads may be tricky, because with a 2 hour each way drive, plus lunch & tasting, it would pretty much be an "all day" drive. So Susan and I are planning on doing a "practice run" for this on Thursday @ MOTD (May 12). Many (most?) of you probably already have plans for the daytime there (e.g. I know Ali will be doing photo shoots as a vendor), but for anyone who doesn't have daytime plans on the Thursday and wants to join us, you are most welcome. The plan is very casual. I may make a simple route sheet - but right now it's all about exploration and getting a feel for whether it would be a viable organized run next year.
