Condolences. Here's hoping for a quick (as can be) recovery for Sonja...and you - driving a rental is hateful. Tolerable if another MINI, but never the same as driving your own.

Sorry I didn't make it and meet the new (and old) folks. Ended up having to work first - play later.

I have rails and I'll be installing a hitch. I've had a hitch on my last three vehicles so I already have a variety of items for it, but I originally decided against a roof rack (for my bikes) as I've known people to have a great day riding ruined when they drive into their garage and forget their bikes are topside. A very, very horrible sound. I use my rails for low profile gear, i.e. snowboards, kayak, cargo box, etc.

Did you already book a room? I happen to look at the website schedule and the Welcome/Farewell dinners are listed as full. That's annoying to say the least, I didn't even know the schedule was posted and I did sign up for the newsletter (the only one I've received was on May 19th). I guess it was my high expectation they would FYI folks of important updates/changes. From the vets, any suggestions/insight on the events that are still available? I'm interested in the Brewery Drive, however (currently) the link for info on the event - and pretty much all of the links - are bad.

When is Quitta going? Weekday or weekend?

Hmmmmm...sounds great, but Sundays are generally bad for me, and I'm leaving that day for another work road trip, so the exact time will make a difference. Awaiting details with bated breath :-)

Many, many moons ago I had one in my '84 Dodge Colt Turbo (an old school pocket-rocket) and it worked great, but I would think it would be too big of a footprint in the MINI. I take it you don't have a Light-N-Sight in there, eh? Love the red seat pulls.

You most certainly do not have to de-chrome just because your MINI is black in color. In fact, it'd be an appealing contrast of black body and a little more chrome :biggrin:, a la Savile Row MINI Cooper
