  1. I own a Clubman and just ordered the MiniDoMore hitch and wiring harness. The thread on that is here: http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/2005-tow-hitch/ Search NAM in the Countryman forum for more feedback on the hitch for your MINI.
  2. Unless I can get out of work a day early, which I doubt, I'm leaving Tue night/Wed morning, hitting the road sometime between 10P Tue and 2A Wed, my reservation is on Wed/1st onward.
  3. Maybe this shouldn't have been scheduled on a 3-day weekend(?)
  4. Just leaving home. Had schoolwork to complete before I could come out and play.
  5. I've 4 weeks of vac and participating in MOTD means taking away from one of my regularly scheduled escapes. I don't think I could add another MINI event unless it coincided with an existing vacation (e.g. if MINIs in the Mountains http://minisinthemountains.com/ was sometime in the first half of July instead of Aug)
  6. Well that's a bummer: http://minisontop.com/2013/01/29/will-there-be-a-mot-2014-that-could-be-up-to-you/ I'd really work to find a way if I was even going to be here. Maybe if I change jobs (as I'm looking) but I'd probably have to use that "pre-existing" tag on MOTD. Again, bummer.
  7. That is true, in my manual it says to slowly drive to warm the engine up. Every car I've ever had I always let it idle until the RPMs dropped to below 1K before pulling off. "Freezing TX winters"?!? I went to college in Pittsburgh and lived in Denver before moving here. You're from Houston, right? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_Houston#mw-mf-search The Climate of Houston is classified as humid subtropical. Houston's warmest month (on average) is July at 94.4 °F (34.7 °C), and the coldest month being January at 53.1 °F 50's. Brrrrrrr
  8. Ahhhhh. I have automatic as well. Didn't think about that. Best get-hot-fast car I've ever had was a '96 Eclipse, I could cook a turkey in there. Mornings when it was snow covered, I'd crank it up and go back inside. 15 minutes later it was glistening in the sun with all of the snow circling it on the ground. Car after that was an Integra. Stinkin' efficient engine wouldn't get hot unless I drove it. Had to learn to get up early to clean the snow/ice off
  9. I've a one-mile commute and I do have heat by the time I get to work, but it's the bun warmers that really get the job done.
  10. I'm just leaving (and there are still some of us here :-))
  11. On my way (but I'm coming from Laurel so it's going to take a few)
  12. That is correct, that's how I facilitate my online football pool. NO FEES!
  13. But then what's the color of the outlines and the shirts? The design phase, and opinions, are far from settled.
  14. Interested but no-can-do. Will be on the road for work at that time.
  15. Sorry to hear about the date change. Sunday I could do, Saturday I'm already booked for a trip to Whitetail. Oh well, see y'all at dinner on Sun.
  16. Oh yeah. Hmmm, and I'm the first from MD.
  17. I'm a maybe right now, some other things on my calendar.
  18. I would've thought http://www.kickstarter.com a more popular place for them to get funding.
  19. Sorry I couldn't make the big shindig.
