  1. So is this par-tee going to ever happen? Inquiring minds want to know.
  2. I guess there aren't enough Clubman owners to have a need (new product for the market) for this(?)
  3. Ahhhh, yet another item I need you to share with me tomorrow (reminder re my bumper. I haven't done anything with it as I've been motoring the last couple of weekends). P.S. - I have a stick, so does the "Auto Sport +" really do anything for me?

  5. Saw that. Caveat: For vehicles produced from 8/2007 to 8/2010. Mine buggy is an '11. Besides, the first part is +$200. Add labor and any other parts that are needed and it is quite cost-prohibitive (to me).
  6. Well, I've got a wee bit of a drive for the M&G on Saturday. I'll press the button and see what happens. As I'm cutting through Rock Creek from downtown SS and then onto 395 I'll have two different road types to test it on to see if there is any real difference. P.S. - SORRY! Didn't mean to thread-jack. Back to our regularly scheduled program
  7. Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking about. Still window shopping the solution.
  8. Appreciate the info. My CDs are old. That particular album was done in '57 I'd have to look at the CD to see the reissue date but I'm sure it's also too old. Well, I'm looking at converting all of my CDs to MP3s and putting them on a player. Have a Shuffle I bought last year that's still sitting on a shelf unopened. Was thinking about using that for the car (everything else in my buggy is MINImized ). Again, thanks for the info.
  9. I haven't gotten through my manual, but since you brought it up, what does the Sport Button do??
  10. I was wondering about that, but figured cmcveay's response might shed some light (I think he meant to post that over here: http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/2007-usb-amp-mini-stereo-plug-to-connect-an-ipod/) As for the cup holder I'm to the point of seeing what Burt's creation on Saturday and moving forward from there (unless somebody posts a solution between now and then).
  11. So I've been playing CDs and have been annoyed that the display merely shows Track 1, Track 2, etc (and no time played or left). Then last night I threw in a burned CD that was a compilation of two other CDs and I get the song title displayed! The burned CD is over 10 years old so I don't recall what I might have done special to it, but I copied it from originals which don't display. In searching for an answer I found this thread http://www.mini2.com/forum/first-generation-mini-cooper/173792-mini-cooper-2002-cd-player-text.html So does this mean I need to burn all of my CDs into MP3's to get track info (which then raises my dissatisfaction of not having the USB port next to my aux port )? P.S. - I also found a nice little MP3 guide for the stock radio. http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/navigation-and-audio/161275-mini-cooper-mp3-quick-guide-w-standard-radio-and-cd-player.html
  12. I already have one of these http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/accessory-details/?device=Car+Charger+with+USB+Port+-+Universal+Micro+USB&q_sku=sku3730245#fbid=mcYjpTsrjJO and a aux cable whereas I can play my iPhone through my radio and charge it (and charge something else with the USB port). What does the product you reference do differently?
  13. I've caught myself waving to MINI drivers when I'm walking...yeah I get no waves back.
  14. Was on my quarterly Costco run after work today. Parked across from a black & chrome-accented JCW hardtop with Cali tags (but a MINI MCO tag holder). I wanted to say "hey" :wavey: but you were gone when I came out.
  15. I ain't got nuthin' but a hole to nowhere (there wasn't any cover either)
  16. I too am a "doveryai, no proveryai" proponent.
  17. From memory it's just the jack, no USB. But then, I'd found it by accident and didn't investigate much further as I already have an aux cable (I take it with me when I travel so I can plug my iPhone into the rental) and started using it right away.
  18. Yeah, what she said  Love the ST look as well (but I already think my next is the Roadster...or the Z4 if I could actually pull it off...like after hitting the lottery)
  19. See the recent thread re badges over here: http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/346-dcmm-grill-badges/
  20. Thanks for the info. My posting here IS me asking around
  21. Hmmmmm...along with my iPhone I have a Shuffle. I've plugged my iPhone in via the aux port under the switches and figured I could do the same with my shuffle (but with a 1 mile commute I don't get much past one song, depending on which track on the CD I'm listening to). But this past weekend where I played hooky and burned gas, I found myself wishing for the 6-disc changer or being able to plug my iToys in and control more than just the volume. I get the impression I can't do so without the "Connected" package(?)
  22. Is the problem only on low? How does it work/feel when your turn it up higher? I have a thermometer (long thin metal spike with round thermostat on end) and a laser thermometer I would use when I questioned the temp of the a/c coming out of my Outback. When freshly charged it was just shy of spitting out icicles at 40 degrees. Prior to that it was giving me 60 degrees. But checking the temp (after charging) will tell me if I simply needed to increase the flow to combat the heat.
  23. Right you are! The Roadster ones are surprisingly... unmotivating (and these are the better ones):
