Just renewed!
Even though no one has seen or heard from me since MTTS.
I hope to reconnect in 2017.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! :santaclaus:
Now I will be going dark again.
My daughter Charlotte and I will be running down I-81 starting early Saturday morning heading to Charlotte (NC). Hoping to leave by 7:30 AM to give us time for stops and maybe site seeing.
We will be running with a radio (walkie-talkie) on channel 7-21 so if you see another MINI try to connect via radio. If you see our BRG Ernie at least wave. :wavey:
We are staying at the Hampton Inn - University Place, north of Charlotte and ~5 miles directly south of the speedway. We stayed downtown for MTTS2012 and it was great but took a little more time to drive to the speedway.
We hope to see you in Charlotte.
Tyler is spot on.
And bubble wrap. Lots of bubble wrap. It doesn't weight much and helps cushion a lot. And the person receiving the shipment has lots of fun popping the bubbles.
Yes, traditional rally wear, especially for little British cars (think tweeds and wools) can be troublesome in June. I think Hawaiian wear is in order.
My wife and I attended MOT in 2013. We had a LOT of fun but my wife got very nervous on the mud section, above the treeline, with no guardrail, in the drizzle. She was fine after she closed her eyes. :ahhhhh:
I am available to discuss in anyone is interested. PM me and I will send my cell number.
C3M has cross posted this and they have 19 people signed up to attend the M&G.
I'm trying to fit this in but I'm still playing catch up on things after the family vacation.
It was a good time, as always.
I always learn a few new things and I needed to stock up on a few detailing products. Now I can tackle my wife's XC90 engine... the dirty beast! If she is lucky I'll attack the leather interior next. Maybe.
It just makes it much more special when you do get a wave in the wild.
And when you are attending big MINI events (MOTD, MTTS, MOT, Mickey & MINI, etc.) it is so much fun to get lots and lots of waves. :itsme::wavey::motor::hello:
I spotted an R56 with MD tag "WEEMINI" coming home last night. I was behind him on River Rd and they turned into my neighborhood on Hall Rd. Anyone know them? Are they a member?
Angel,
Welcome, welcome.
I have not personally used their services but I have heard good things about Zebra Stripes (http://www.zebrastripes.com) in Chantilly.
Bert.
Go ahead an order one. There are a number of sites that customize them:

and others.
Even though it was chilly for early November and there was a C3M run going on, we had a good turn out and good conversations. It was nice to see new faces too.
