  1. I think that I gave Kate a slight worry when I was tagging CHLE PEP in Bethesda yesterday. I was picking up lunch at the Corner Bakery next to Montgomery Mall and saw that a MINI was parked next to my Jeep (Jake) and they had a DCMM sticker. (I was giving Ernie the morning off with the ice and rain.) I looked around the restaurant trying to see a MINI owner but didn't recognize anyone. I took this picture and then went out to tag CHLE PEP. As I was putting the DCMM card on the driver's window, Kate comes out asking what I was doing to her car? Sorry that I startled you Kate and made you come out into the cold weather. :s: We exchanged pleasantries and went on our way.
  2. We can get 2 to 3, or more, tables to you before the party. Do you need chairs too?
  3. Lona, We have 8 folding tables and 12 folding chairs that are available, if you need. We don't need to use them this holiday season. The only thing would be getting them from Potomac to Annandale and back. I may be able to deliver some of them in our Volvo SUV and pick them up after. My sister lives just around the corner from you off of Braddock Rd.
  4. I have one (1) used Continental 16" All Season tire "ContiProContact SSR", 195/55R 16 87V with about 9k mile on it and about 5/32 or 6/32 of tread remaining for a good home. If anyone is running these OEM tires and would like a FREE back-up / replacement for a damaged tire please let me know. I bought this one to replace a tire that I got a non-repairable flat in when leaving PoA MINI after the Halloween party in 2012 and it has usable life left. I hate to see it go to trash. Let me know and it is yours. I can deliver in much of MoCo or NoVa (McLean to Herndon) areas or arrange a meet up. Let me know.
  5. Catalina, Congrats again (Ernie responded on Facebook). Ernie is interested in meeting Poison Ivy but is concerned about her name. Hmmm… she sounds dangerous.
  6. I think that it looks good. It is a different version of Celia's STRKS2.
  7. Erin, Thanks for sharing the pictures. I too wish that I could have been there. I even had a costume ready for Ernie :banghead: I guess I can use it next year.
  8. If you have a few free minutes on this rainy evening, or some time in the future, take a look at these car care videos from Adam's: http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-videos.aspx They have a good line up off instructional videos. Other car care product lines have similar videos but this is a nice reference set on one page.
  9. Congratulations! I remember the wait for Ernie. At least we will have another Roadster owner not named Michael What do we have, 3 or 4 Michaels with Roadsters? It must be a secret club.
  10. On the run last year a few of us called WTOP (103.5 FM) to let them know of our progress around the Beltway. They were really great and made at least 4 or 5 progress reports during their traffic reports on the :08s to announce the looonng line of MINIs rounding the Beltway. All Verizon and AT&T users need to do is to dial #1035 on their cell phones, usually the traffic team picks up the phone. The first caller needs to explain the event and the direction the line will be taking (395 South to the Beltway - Inner Loop towards Tysons Corner, that is the clockwise loop) and then follow on callers should tell them a landmark or exit number you just passed or will be approaching. WTOP was trying to follow us on the TrafficLand cameras last year. REMEMBER... hands free in Maryland now. It is now a primary offense to be using a cell while driving. I only wish that I could make it this year.
  11. The Recaro seat is great. Now just get her an auto cross helmet and she said be set.
  12. I completely agree with Craig's words of wisdom. After 24 years of marriage I qualify to agree with Craig's insight. Your job is to agree and to keep her happy. I know my place in the family, I am the jester and the janitor. I'm there to entertain and to maintain and fix things. But not to pull nails out of her head. Keep agreeing and provide chocolate when required (always). Keep their serotonin levels as high as possible. Dark chocolate works very well with most.
  13. I miss the location of the old MoCo MINI.
  14. Oh, this one is just too timely. Thank you Craig.
  15. Sorry that I missed this one. I got home from work yesterday with a fever and cough... not good. Trying to rest and recover.
  16. Thanks for the update. I guess only motorcycles, semi rigs, and some farm equipment have the one plate rule in MD. :hmmmm:
  17. I wish that I could make the second clinic. I found the first clinic in July VERY helpful and informative but I have a scheduling conflict on the date of the second clinic. We will meet up sometime.
