  1. Apparently I broke the matrix.
  2. poop, I can see it
  3. High Contrast color Portrait In yo face! I can't believe this place is 20min outside of NW. What a cool location!
  4. thanks so much, Ali!!!!
  5. Damn, Quite a fire sale! There are a couple things I may be interested in, I'll PM ya by Tuesday.
  6. Yeah, I was in traffic, stopped, as were you, right around 5:15, was on my way to pick Dana up from work. No worries though, but it was nice to see ya!
  7. Had a rare weekend "off", went out to Skyline Drive for the day...
  8. I saw Ali on 14th st NW, between E and F, top down(her car top) windows up, honked, hollered her name while people looked at me funny, all to no avail. Anywho, HI Ali!
  9. I have a couple of Samsung galaxy tabs, let me know, we'll see what's up.
  10. I will partake in this one year (as a MINI owner), hell, maybe next year.
  11. Bentley is REALLY comprehensive, a VERY thorough book, not that Haynes isn't, BUT Bentley Manuals can read like rocket science sometimes, whereas Haynes Guides are a little easier to use/follow(imo). Bentley Manuals are pricey too, but you DO get what you pay for. Like I said, they are full of LOADS of details, and delve into some more technical aspects that the average Joe, or Jane, might find intimidating.
  12. Honestly, if you make time for that, it is a tremendous help. http://www.haynes.com/products/?searchType=vehicleApplicationSearch2&searchEnd=yes&sfID1=&sfID2=&sfID3=&year=2003&make=Mini&model=R53+Cooper+S&x=12&y=5 Well spent money. You don't have to read it cover to cover, BUT, it can help you troubleshoot, potentially diagnose, and deff repair. If you have never used a Haynes Guide, they are REALLY easy to navigate, and put things into terms where a monkey could do it, and not a NASA trained monkey If you REALLY want to get into the ins and outs, without it being overwhelming, grab one for your year. $30 gets you: Complete coverage for your Mini Cooper, Cooper S, Clubman & Clubman S for 2002 thru 2011 (See specific years covered) (Does not include Countryman models or convertible top information): --Routine Maintenance --Tune-up procedures --Engine repair --Cooling and heating --Air Conditioning --Fuel and exhaust --Emissions control --Ignition --Brakes --Suspension and steering --Electrical systems --Wiring diagrams You change your OWN oil ONCE and the book has more than paid for itself.
  13. Both Dana and I missed being there:frown:
  14. Good stuff. They really do a top notch job out there!
  15. There have been quite a few threads on it, but it's always a nice thing to think about with the weather starting to break. I fully anticipate getting out there in a month or so, the mix of cars at the Falls Church C+C is awesome. I am hoping that the 458 Italia and the Noble still go out there. There are also a few classic Minis that make the trip. We should coordinate a Saturday for us MINI folk to go grab a section of the lot and park a bunch up there.
  16. Welcome to DCMM!

Have a great time, all! Wish I was able to make it! Ali, I look forward to seeing the pics, sorry I can't be there to help.
  18. Would love to make it, but I will have to see where I am at, recovery wise. This spot it awesome though, especially with its proximity to Bon Chon. In addition to the shabu-shabu, they offer a great sauce bar to build your own custom mixes. Also, they start you off with 2 broths of your choice which is great if you really want to get adventurous, but not dedicate to a whole pot of a set flavor. It's a tremendous value, an awesome eating experience, and AWESOME for both adventurous foodies and non foodie types. Also, as a unusual side note, one of the only places I have seen in NOVA that offers Butter Beer. Sounds gross, but it's really quite good! You can read more, and see pics HERE
  19. Someones license plate is all out of kilter! Looks like it needs a V-8. .. or perhaps, it's just a very heavy mustache.
  20. Looks like it was a great time, I am sorry I missed it. Have been out of time for a month, the holidays this year were pretty much a non-event. Thanks for sharing the photos and experience! I am hoping I can make a LOT more 2013 events!
  21. Great DOF/Bokeh. . .that's what I was thinking of it for, for portrait work. . .so tempting! Thanks for posting pics up!
  22. Hello, and welcome to DCMM!
  23. Do you have any images you've produced with the 70-200? I would hate to cover the spectrum three times, BUT, it's the 2.8 that has me itching a little. . . what a great piece of glass it would be to add to the bag.
  24. I would like to take the 12:10. My ONLY issue is, I am not sure 110% if I am going to be mobile. I will let you know on the 29th of NOV. I HATE to always leave things "pending", BUT, if I can be there, I WILL, if not, I will let you know as SOON as I know! Thanks for your patience, gang!
