Paw Paw Tunnel Run

The Go Kart is washed, waxed, and ready for tomorrow... Although I may not be. I'm not looking forward to getting up early for the hour drive out to Purceville to kick off the day.... I didn't get to sleep in as much as I wanted to today!

I take it the directions that were put out were informational... I fully intend on just following the trail of Mini's ahead of me.

You're taking Minnie, not Loki??? W ... T... F...

Minnie has A/C, the route isn't twisty enough to tough it out in Loki....plus, Minnie needs to run free with her kind!

So... not to put a damper on all the washing and waxing and everything... :)

As mentioned in my last weather update, it's always subject to change... and it has changed a bit.

There is now a chance of rain... There's a storm spinning down south over NC, with a more or less straight north movement to it at this time, that will be up this way tomorrow. The chance of rain is a bit higher here in the metro area than it is out west where we'll be, but there's still a chance.

So a small shower possible... but not very much falling and/or not for very long, if anything. It should still be a nice day!

Thanks Mike

I think we can risk it. If it starts to rain during the picnic we all run to our MINIs and talk to each other on the handsets

Or just wait it out in the tunnel, right? :)

Speaking of handsets: the FRS radio I have is a Midlands LTX-300. It doesn't do the subchannels. Should I bring it anyway? :questionmark:

Bring it because you can listen in, you just can't reply

Not sure why that matters...

Weather out here in Falls Church is looking a little dark so I hope it gets nice out west. I have an extra radio that someone can borrow if they need to.

I'm just a jokester. Quitta (hzbblur) had preordered hers so I was insinuating that you had copied her (jokingly). But then I realized you don't know my sense of humor so I failed.

The run is on, from what I'm seeing it's pretty much the same weather we had on the pre-run. We may hit some rain, but I think we'll be off of the mountain before it gets bad.

See everyone at the coffee shop!!!

Cloudy and humid here. Temp says it's 71* but feels more like 80's.

Source: I live .2 miles from the coffee shop and just returned from a walk.
