  1. You need to attend MOTD (MINIS on the Dragon)!
  2. Not sure, but all shots are done at <1mph. It's a long exposure that gives the illusion of speed.
  3. Another MINI shoot this past weekend! Jill Raymer at Bridal Veil Falls!
  4. Thanks for coming everyone, it was nice having people over at the house and meeting new members and members of C3M. Come back anytime!
  5. Straight to the lot. The tow companys in the neighborhood are vicious! EDIT: I see you have the first appointment, YOU can come right to the house.
  6. If anyone is waiting for an address please let me know, but I think I got everyone. Again, here is the address for the staging lot: 5123 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781 (it looks like it would be the parking lot for Franklin's Brewery, but it is a public lot that is free on Sundays). Look out for Sara's houndstooth/Ice Blue MINI, if you don't see it you are either in wrong lot or didn't go deep enough into it. Make sure you bring an umbrella, it isn't a far walk, but it is far enough to get wet to our house. Ali, can you bring the DCMM banner so we can hang it from my porch to make the house easier to find?
  7. How much? Feel free to PM if you don't want to post it in the thread. Thanks!
  8. Will the short shifter fit an R55? Sara is interested.
  9. You can always start a new tradition, DCMM Oktoberfest! (Yes, I know Oktoberfest actually starts in September and ends in October, but you already have it started!)
  10. Nice pics! It looked like a great time, if it wasn't for the autox that day I would have been there.
  11. Kevin Ward, who is part of the Hyattsville city council lives in my neighborhood and plans to attend. No time selected as of now, but should be flexible I think. The cars will be staged at the public lot down the street (free on Sunday) it's about a 5min walk to my house. The address for the lot is 5123 Baltimore Ave, Hyattsville, MD 20781. I have replied to all of the PMs that I received, if anyone else needs my home address just send me a PM. Also, even if you don't want the coding done and just want to hang out, feel free to come by! The staging lot is also the parking lot for the local brewery!
  12. there maybe some people who live in the neighborhood that may be interested.
  13. Is this limited to MINIs only? I know Phil had previously raced Lotus cars also.
  14. I think I drove by you last Saturday outside of Manassas. I was in smart car coming back from Ptuning.
  15. Thanks for the Picnic and the post run! The bar is a great location, we will be back soon... for the beer and your shoot!
  16. We are going to stop at the store on the way to the picnic, any requests??
  17. It's yours! So everyone that has a spot, we can work something out at the picnic to get an idea of what you are looking for and what your schedule is. Because these are long exposures lower light is better (think morning/evening) and usually provides a more interesting sky. I do have a filter that will allow full sun shoots, but it does have it's limitations. Can't wait to get these started!
  18. Updated!! I currently have Laura as at the hard top, but if it doesn't work out, Cat is the first alternate. I will be bringing the rig to the Picnic on Saturday, it will be a good chance for everyone to see the process and everything involved.
  19. Thanks Ali! If you have had a chance to visit my site you will see I'm lacking on content, so for a very limited time I am offering 2 deals to help me get started: Deal #1 I'm looking to shoot 1 of each type of MINI for free!! You just pay for whatever prints you might want. Already claimed: Cabrio (Ali) GP (Quitta) Clubman (Sara) Coupe (Craig) Roadster (Michael) Hardtop (Laura with Cat as an alternate) Classic (Corey) Countryman (Melissa) Still need: Paceman and if I have missed anything post it up! Deal #2 On top of the 20% off you will receive for a limited time you will get 1 free print also! Pricing: All shoots start at $100 (so $80 for all DCMM members!), this will get you 1 angle and 1 high resolution digital file (not watermarked, unless you want it) every extra angle is $25.00. We will tailor the background to your interests, so if you have anything in mind please let me know. Keep in mind the rig adds 15-20' of length/width to your car, so we will need space. Please plan on at least 2-3 hours for your shoot (not including driving to the location). It takes a bit of time to get the rig set up and shot composed. This could be you!
