Thanks for all the input! My only other question is this: Most of the people responding have mentioned significant improvements due to the tune have at least a couple performance mods on their MINI pre-tune. Is the performance increase due to better utilization of the performance mods, or will a stock R56 (no performance mods) see a good improvement as well? Also: Just got my MINI serviced at MoS and they mentioned that my front 2 tires are wearing pretty thin. Bottom-line I need new tires. Will the very worn tires on the front affect the tune? (And/Or their willingness to run it on the dyno?)

I can't find much info about this tune online. I am debating doing it, but $640 is a lot to drop if I don't know much about the outcome

The first mod will obviously be painted flames on the side of the airbrush system...

Like Craig said, I have had no issues with the LEDs causing bulb out warnings. They are working just fine. It took me all of about 5-10 minutes to do the LED install, as well. Go outside and get it done! Feel free to ask about anything if you get stuck. There are some parts that seem confusing but really aren't... Craig, Let me know how the blacking of the emblems goes. I may be interested in that, depending on how it looks. I may be interested in the vinyl for the headlight rings as well. I haven't decided if I like the chrome on the headlight rings since the grills is now black.

Mods # 1 and #2 complete... This morning I did the LED blinkers, as shown above. Just finished putting in the blackout grille. I like it a lot... Unfortunately, this makes me want to blackout my headlight trim, as well... (possible the MINI badge... is that even possible?) (Read: Easily possible) BEFORE- AFTER-

So got the LED signals installed this afternoon. Still need to go to the hardware store and get some silicone for the grille installation. I love the LED Turn Signals though. They seem to stand out a lot better since they are on a black background instead of clear/shiny. Links to video goodness! I probably won't get around to it until I get off of my 4 day set of 12 hour shifts...AKA Tuesday morning.. and last I read it is supposed to rain on Tuesday, so I may wait until Wednesday. I will post when I get it done!

A couple questions for anyone who has done these types of exterior mods. For christmas I got myself 2 items to put on my currently stock MINI. 1. LED Side Markers http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=91421 Has anyone had experience with this type of stuff? I am not a "car person", as it were, but I am pretty decent at figuring things like this out. Is this going to be an easy project, or will it take some know-how and/or tools. Edit: If it matters, I have a '09 MCS

I got 35% on the back and the boot, 50% on the front windows, and 8% (I think?) on the sunroof. It is perfectly dark for me, and the variability between the back and front is hardly noticeable.

Eh, the "Joey Mod" idea kind of scares me. I am not a big Mr. Fixit type of person, so the idea of ripping parts of my car apart isn't my cup of tea. I am more than willing to install pre-altered products to my car, however.

Also slightly confused if the films are the way to go. There is nothing mentioned about there being a single lens film or a set of 2, but there is also nothing about "Left vs. Right", so I don't know. Anyone that has these films, please let me know, trying to get Christmas list ideas together

So the things I have found on http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=85649 leads me to believe that all the tinted lights are actually just film, and not replacement light covers. If that is correct, that makes my plans a lot cheaper. Is that right?

I have seen a bunch of Minis with blacked out taillights, grills, etc. (Not literally black, but a very dark tint would be more accurate) Where do you go about finding pricing for that type of thing, and anyone have any suggestions for vendors? I assume that things like a grill or a taillight cover would be easy to self-install, but correct me if I am wrong.

I have been looking around at some black shoes for my Mini, and those look great. What rims do you have on?
