  1. I was the Golf R up near the front, parked next to an early 70's Grand Prix
  2. Hijack. That must have been your green MINI I saw in the 'back lot'. -Jim
  3. CostCo and most grocery stores sell broasted chickens. Pretty tasty!
  4. Bump. I still have most of the items, plus a set of CocoMats (2-pieces, front only), that are about 1 year old, black with grey/silver checks. HEAVY, rubber-backed. Pictures on request, but they look like what's on the CocoMats web site. Mine look similar to these: http://www.cocomats.com/customercars/b_53_Lexus72.jpg -Jim
  5. I believe she knows very well what she bought, stickers and all. She liked what the previous owner did, and didn't see any reason to change it. Including the stickers. Maybe I missed something?
  6. We met the owner at Cars and Coffee (Great Falls) today. She is a nice lady, bought the car used and left it - stickers and all - as you see it. Her name's Jill, and she had an S previously. Jennifer, John (Celia's dad) and I spoke to her about the club, gave her cards for both C3M and DCMM, and she said she'll have to look into the clubs. Seemed very interested in joining up.
  7. This is a new-in-the-bag windscreen / wind deflector for the R57 MINI cabriolet (2009-2012, base/S/JCW). My wife won it at the MINI Skirts raffle, but already has one. I've seen these sell for $375+ on eBay. Asking $SOLD!! OBO. Wife gets the final say-so on the price, but this is about 1/2 retail. Prefer face-to-face, but will ship if you pay shipping. -Jim
  8. Dan - go ahead and put me down for that 10:40 slot. :top:
  9. My 2010 JCW had burble, in Sport mode. Jennifer's 2011 S has it, also Sport mode. You should have it as well. Not as pronounced as it was previously.
  10. @Laura - if you want to see the list of items they used in Cleveland, LMK. Some were items that I as a 'tourist' would have had no clue about. Example: Take a picture of a fraction. Five/Thirds Bank is a Cleveland (or Ohio) line of banks. There's your fraction.
  11. I did a scavenger hunt in Cleveland last year. While there were different points given for certain items, a few of those high-point items (500 pts, if you showed up on a new MINI test drive with a salesperson) would have taken so much time and effort (45-minute drive one way just to get to the MINI dealer, and the salesmen were alerted ahead of time what was up) that the law of diminishing returns would quickly go into effect. -Jim
  12. Just came on here to say I saw YOU :wavey:. I was in the red loaner (6-speed stick!). Dropped off Bender (Jennifer's R57) for warranty work. -Jim
  13. Pick up a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, and try that. It basically works like very fine grit sandpaper. -Jim
  14. If you want to try Sonax, LMK. I'm close by, relatively speaking, and have a few bottles. That being said, if your wheels are really dirty, any wheel cleaner will need the assistance of a brush to agitate the dirt. I've had good results with diluted SImple Green, some Adams General Purpose cleaner, and a few others. The cleaners I have are safe for all finishes, so no worries there. -Jim
  15. 1. No idea. But they didn't seem to make a difference in wind noise. The Yakima clamshell we mounted on top of the bars crushed one, that's why it's gone. 2. I have no idea, but they appear to be integrated into the covers. I can understand the key thing, as we had several sets for all of the goodies (basket, rails, Yakima shell, etc).
  16. Upon further review, I'm only missing one of the plastic 'wing' airflow thingies.
  17. Rockymounts removed from the sale.
  18. First up is a set of MINI cargo cross bars. SOLD!! Next, I have a set of TPMS sensors, for 2nd Gen up to and including 2009 models. $80 for the set of 4. I have an M7 heat shield. Never mounted, has a scratch on it but it's minimal and doesn't affect the performance of the heat shield. $50 gets it. I have 3 R112 JCW "Challenge" wheels, with Dunlop Sport runflats mounted. The 4th wheel was damaged, as was the tire. These come with TPMS sensors for 2010+ MINIs. Wheels are in good shape, one has minor curb rash. Will take $100 per wheel/tire/TPMS, or $250 for all 3. Photos of one wheel/tire included. The other 2 look the same, I just didn't feel like unwrapping all 3 for photos. I also have a set of Zippee Shades for your sunroof. 2 shades with storage bag. $20 for this item. There are more items. I just haven't had time to sort through it Oh, and no shipping.
  19. This ad superceded by a new improved ad with more stuff
  20. Look here, emoticon boy That's all I got. :wavey:
  21. Were you at Quattro Goombas? Because I swear saw a white Countryman there this weekend.
  22. Y'all should just strap Camelbaks onto the back of your seats, and run the bite piece thing up closer to your neck
  23. Since the thread's been revived, there are lots and lots of roads out toward Leesburg, into WV / MD, and there are even some fun ones I've found inside the beltway near McLean. -Jim
