  1. He means new 'daily driver'
  2. I do, and I am But if you're still under warranty start with the dealer. Jennifer's car, Bender, had a malfunctioning TPMS sensor. It was replaced under warranty. -Jim BTW, how do you know which tire is failing? I never knew which tire was low on air, and Jennifer's car never reported a bad sensor either.
  3. Yesterday, we saw a yellow/white Countryman S with 3 grill badges yesterday, in the Chantilly area. Last week, we ran into RyanMBlue in Lansdowne, near Wegmans
  4. It probably is. I looked at CraveSpeed's web site, and the one they show looks like a spring-loaded X-shaped thing. Mine looks like a little shelf.
  5. Mine look like this: http://zippeegear.com/ WITH the advertising logo on them. They did a run w/out but I already had mine by then.
  6. We have one of those 'Mercedes' Smart cars in our neighborhood, too
  7. This is a DIMSport MyGenius tool, for storing ECU tunes. It will need to be reset, and I think Jan charges about $100 for that service. Not sure where to price this, so we'll just go for $50.
  8. Bump. I personally have never had an issue with these mats, but then I only wear flat-sole shoes
  9. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/smart-car1.htm "A 70 mph crash test conducted by British TV show "Top Gear" revealed that the Smart Fortwo's body remained mostly intact when compared to that of a conventional subcompact car." All that being said, the transmissions are the biggest headache in the Smart (from a shifting point of view). Have her check out the Fiat 500, if she wants something other than a MINI
  10. Are non-MINI owners welcome? :embarassed:
  11. I can help out on/along the route, if needed. We may also have some towels (which to a baby, would be blanket-size) to donate. I'll look around.
  12. They worked as advertised. They hide dirt well they don't slip, and they handled wet/ snow as well. They're pretty heavy suckers, so they don't slide around. The bottoms are rubber with grippy knobs / 'teeth'.
  13. I can take photos of mine maybe tomorrow (heading out for the weekend) but if you check out cocomats.com or outmotoring you can get a good idea of what they'll look like. http://www.outmotoring.com/coco-mats-berber-floormats.html
  14. I have a set of Coco Mats, black with silver dots, for the front only (2 pcs). These came out of a Clubman, so are good for 2nd Gen R55/56/57 and I suppose Coupe and Roadster. Picked up after I saw them at MOTD last year. They work as advertised, hide dirt very well and look nice in the MINI. Make me an offer. Prefer a face-to-face deal. Thanks! -Jim
  15. Selling my Scan Gauge II. Will throw in the little mount piece that attaches to the CravenSpeed mounting system. $100 for the package. Prefer local deals, thanks.
  16. I have a set of Zippee Shades that attach via suction cup, to the sunroof (both pieces). Mine is one of the original (branded) versions. Asking $20 for a local sale. No shipping at this time. Thanks!
  17. Thickness, usually is the primary difference. However, once you get to a certain size, the bars are hollow. So the extra diameter compensates for this. Same stiffness, light weight is my guess as to why. Some bars have 2-3 holes on the ends, so you can adjust the stiffness for say, street vs track. NM Engineering is a popular sway bar. I think when I had mine swapped out at the Dragon, Way Motor Works installed an hSport adjustable. It made a noticeable difference over stock, and the price was right. Check out Mach V, Dan sells a few different models and he could tell you the differences, if any. Good luck! :top:
  18. I have a ScanGauge with a Cravenspeed mount. Was actually thinking of going to a Kiwi set up. We ought to chat -Jim
