  1. Craig - Jennifer and I will take a look-see at it this weekend. Need to see how much space it takes. EDIT: I just looked at our spare space, and I don't think this'll fit
  2. Bring it anyway. Jennifer said this is "Terri's recipe". I hope you translate that
  3. I'm pretty sure we're bringing coconut curry chicken with rice noodles, unless we're maxed on main dish items.
  4. Assuming I remember to bag it: - Front set of Coco Mats ($25) - Touch-up paint (FREE) - Set of wheel locks ($25) - DCMM-branded Lands End polo shirts. (Men's L) ($7) - MINI branded polo shirts (Men's L or equivalent) ($10) - MINI t-shirts (European sizes) ($5) - Might have a couple of MINI scale models floating around (??) - A European license plate that says "MOV3 OVR" or similar ($5) - Pooch Style cover custom-made for Clubman ($50, Jennifer described below) - OEM 'Sport Package' sway bar from R57 (talk to Jennifer for price) EDIT: All car-specific items are for 2nd Gen cars, can't guarantee it'll fit 1st Gen. I might also have some other items that aren't MINI-related (CB radio, anyone?) if allowed. -Jim
  5. If it's a factory JCW, it's a manual. Automatics on JCWs weren't available until recently, and I 'think' that's only for Countryman / Paceman models. EDIT: He's put a JCW carbon fiber shift knob on, which lends it to looking more like an automatic at a quick glance.
  6. Followed Justin (Se7er) into the parking garage at work this morning. Nice to finally meet you! :top:
  7. Just saw this post. My wife has the Mini-Fini system installed, along with a spare tire holder. I'd highly recommend it. The owners are great people, the customer service is top-notch, and the system is pretty robust. MiniDoMore is supposed to be pretty good as well, but I have no experience with their system.
  8. Bump. Asking $30 on CraigsList, and other forums.
  9. Katie, I think it's a Sunoco based only on the fact that I saw hardly any Shell stations up that way when we drove through on Labor Day. BTW the little jaunt through Harrisburg is a PITA. Lots of traffic lights. Once you get through that, it's smooth sailing. There are a few areas under construction on 15, but it flows well. Y'all have fun! :wavey:
  10. A couple of us use Porter Cable random orbit polishers. They are a bit heavy, but for the most part the weight does all the work - you just guide it. You can get them at a few stores online, to include autogeek and detailersdomain. As far as detailing goes, I've used a sealant before and topped with wax, but it's not necessary. Some people will swear by the sealant/wax method, saying the carnuba gives an extra 'pop' or a warm glow, it all depends on the color of your car as to whether you'll notice. The synthetic 'waxes' on the market these days provide really good protection by themselves. This page on AutoGeek sums it up nicely: http://www.autogeek.net/qude101.html -Jim
  11. Spotted a BRG w/checkerboard roof, scuttles, and mirror caps, Rota wheels, festooned with several stickers and clings to include a MTTS2012 and M/A decal. Spoke to the guy briefly at a traffic light in Leesburg. He's looking to join up, the dealer gave him a DCMM card. Based on our exchange, he probably picked this up pre-owned.
  12. Bump. Still here, still need to move 'em.
  13. The sway bar is still available. If it's unclaimed by Tuesday night it goes out with the trash.
  14. Looks like he carries the full Adams line, which is what I use. I may have to ring him up when it's time to replenish.
  15. All wheels are now spoken for, pending pickup. If this changes I'll modify the post. -Jim
  16. Bumping this thread back up. I still have these. Make me an offer.
  17. R112s are taken pending pickup.
  18. I have a Rota RB wheel, Hyper Black, 17" fitted with a TPMS sensor (2nd Gen, prior to 2010). Free to a good home. Also have 4 R112 (aka JCW Challenge) wheels. One is bent and would need to be repaired (repair costs = approx 1/2 cost of new wheel). All four have tires mounted, and TPMS sensors (2nd Gen, 2010 and newer). The other 3 wheels have minimal curb rash, if anything at all. I don't have recent pictures. Free, but you must take all 4. Finally, I have an OEM sway bar, came off my wife's R57. Free. Wheels are all located in Chantilly. Sway bar is in Purcellville. I don't deliver, you'll have to come to where the parts are. Expect a weekend meetup for Chantilly. Please PM me if you're interested. I don't monitor the board as much as I used to.
  19. Check this one out: http://www.usmillworks.com/mini.html Yes, it's expensive. IMO it's head-and-shoulders better than Cravenspeed's option. I've owned both, so have a few others on the group. Matter of fact, my wife's running my old Cravenspeed on her MINI and I have the US Millworks on my VW. You're free to compare the quality of both, if you're out my direction. -Jim
  20. Cloudy and humid here. Temp says it's 71* but feels more like 80's. Source: I live .2 miles from the coffee shop and just returned from a walk.
  21. Lots of Ferraris and Lamborghinis, a McClaren on occasion, a couple of Morgan Aero 8s, Porsches, the new gullwing Mercedes (2), Audi R8s.... what else? The Lexus LFA has been sighted, that's a rarity. And MINIs, Minis, and some other fun but more common cars
  22. Bugatti Veyron = "Super Car". It's not a 'super car' show, per se. But the rumor is, a Veyron will be in attendance April 13.
  23. That's an old photo but it's closed. For now.
