I almost never listen to the radio and instead use my iPod for podcasts, audiobooks and music. So if there is a degradation of signal, I would rarely notice. That and I had the stubby antenna arrive before the MINI so I couldn't even compare the two!

As far as installing, it's a simple matter of unscrewing the old one and screwing in the new antenna. I'd recommend adding some loctite to the threads.

My Spring list is long... Finally straightened out my real license plate and removed the smashed up license plate holder and badges. (someone had apparently run into me while I was parked somewhere) Biggest spring project: My NM springs (hey, springs for spring!) will go on once I get my new wheels the beginning of next month. Buying OZ Ultraleggeras (matte graphite silver) and probably Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (205/45R17). Next biggest project: Paint my grill trim black and my headlight rings Chili Red if I can find some.... Then a bunch of other 'stuff' that's less of a priority.

I favor the Vortex 1 scoop... I have the Ram 2 for 2nd gen (much like the original Ram) but haven't put it on.
