  1. That's just brilliant (not really) I'm giving my MINI a goatee.... cargoatee.com?
  2. :congrats::congrats: I'm fond of squawking "HAMMER!!!!"
  3. I did my first Seafoam treatment tonight. Got a strange look from a neighbor that was walking his dog... suppose it was all the smoke :aetsch: Currently have 41k. I'll probably do it again after my roadtrip to Atlanta this weekend. Perhaps I'll add some to my gas as well.
  4. a little chrome is a nice accent, however
  5. the result of my aggravation! S.O.B. Rotor @$>*#%+=$&@ by ZugZugMcD, on Flickr
  6. Last night I cut the rotor around the screw then used BFH. Probably could have used SFH at that point though! The new rotor is on, however it's a bear to get the rotor to stay put w/o the screw. I'll stop by MoBC today in hopes they have those screws. thanks :top:
  7. Well not really, but I feel like it's close. I'm replacing the brake pads and rotors on my MINI for the first time (MoT changed the fronts 20k ago). More of a pain in the but to DIY, but it's a good learning experience. The two rears went ok and the driver front was fine but the front passenger side rotor will not come off thanks to me stripping the screw that holds it in. I should have sprayed it with some PB Blaster first... I did give it a good tap to loosen up the rust a bit. Used my Dremel to put a slot for a large flat head screwdriver. That wouldn't budge it. Drilled an appropriate size pilot hole and used a screw extractor - BIG MISTAKE. The extractor broke off in the hole which is a bad thing because now I can not drill the screw out. Looks like I'll have to use the Dremel to grind out the screw head unless anyone else has any suggestions.
  8. Love it:thrasher: ...course, I'm fond of Chili Red Clubman!
  9. I believe I saw MiniPol on 695 around Towson on Tuesday evening. <wave>
  10. Ha!!! I need more friendly MINI drivers in my area...rarely get waves in return. If I really want waves, I drive my wife's Wrangler. Now those folks LOVE to wave!:wavey:
  11. :top: Fantastic looking :congrats:
  12.  :marshmellow: :dancing2: and all that good stuff!
  13. This is the first I've heard of it... I'd imagine that since the parts are oem that you could go to the dealership and find a car on the lot with the lumbar support. A test drive of the seat
  14. I thought you assigned the task to your secretary
  15. SOLD I have a set of 4 16" Bridgespoke wheels with all season runflats and the TPMS. The tires have 32,000 miles on them and will need to be replaced within a few months I'd gather (or after a track day:wink:). All four wheels are in good condition and do not have any curb rash, although they do have brake dust stuck to them! Asking $250
  16. I thought MINI salespeople were salaried... I just figured they had quotas to meet. oh well!
  17. Good call and certainly one that you won't regret. :top:
  18. I'll keep this up for sale here until the weekend, then it's going up on the NAM marketplace. If you think you might be interested and want to see it in person before committing, please by all means let me know. thanks =)
  19. SOLD 6/2/10 I have a new M7 Ram-2 scoop that I purchased last year but never installed (while I was waiting to receive it, I had my stripes installed and like the look of the stripes on the stock scoop). It's still in the original box and is not painted. We can work out the pickup (I live in Pasadena, MD) or shipping if necessary. Asking $180. From their website: http://www.m7tuning.com/parts/product_info.php?cPath=7_9&products_id=127&osCsid=63bece48d6cfed8b1f27da90c04a6576
  20. That's just recycling! Now you can use it!
  21. The Clubman kit includes the puddle lights for the two rear barn doors. It did not, however, include a puddle light for the Club door so I used the glove box led for that.
  22. I installed a full set of blue LEDs from Mach V. If only there was an easier way to swap out all the dash lighting to blue.... <sigh>some day... I'll find some pics and post.
