Skyline Drive Adventure Run

Lucy's heading back to Dr. Passport tomorrow (don't even get me started :banghead:). If I get Charlie the peppy red Clubman loaner, I'm in. If I get a Countryman or Paceman, I will be a maybe. If I get a non MINI, run far away from me. Sigh.

Trust me, I've already decided that. I don't know what I would get and I need to take my mods off before I start selling. It just really sucks.

I'm new to the area and would like to join this run tomorrow.

Would that be possible?

Absolutely. Come on out

FYI. I was at the donut shop at 12:00 noon today. They'll be able to accommodate us. I saw coffee, in the big pump-style carafes. Lots of donut choices, sadly I didn't sample any.

It's about 5 miles to Skyline Drive from the donut shop. I never made it, due to the traffic congestion. I gave up when I was about 1-2 miles from the entrance.

Under normal traffic conditions, expect a ~15 minute drive. (As I type this, Google says it's currently 40 minutes.)

If not, there's always Plan B.

(Now I have to come up with a Plan B...)

I know this late are we doing anything for lunch?

Doubtful. I know my wife and I are going to bail at 211 and head home. This is a loosely organized run (no route sheets, no true end point).

Best to take a snack or buy an extra donut

You bet I will!!!! I always abuse... I mean... Make sure to treat loaners... Like they should be driven. I think I've named this one Sylvester. Charlie is the chili red Clubman. Ali will be so proud of me!!

I don't see why we couldn't if we wanted to!

There's always Big Meadow Wayside... between US-211 and US-33... right next to the visitor center.

1 mile an hour under wreckless, thank you mini for the 3 mph buffer on the speedo. First ticket in 10 years. 35 is really slow especially on the downhills.
