The offers of help are much appreciated and trust me, we'll be reaching out. Funny though, I haven't seen anyone calling dibs on which one of the dogs they want to keep them cuddled...

Yes Melissa, we'll keep reminders of the date as we cannot have you missing this again. But then, on second thought, if you do show up a day late with the bbq pork and sweet taters, I wouldn't call a party foul on it! :)

I don't want to tangle this thread up too badly but this is related to the party.

We know that many of us have all kinds of MINI/Mini parts around the house, taking up space - it you've ever seen my tool room, you'll understand what I'm saying... With the post holiday party coming up, we'd like to include a "MINI Swap Meet". The idea is to set up tables in the garage where you can put your extra (dare I say, excess) MINI/Mini stuff for others who may be looking for just that part.

If you can't make it to the party but you have stuff to put out, get in touch, we'll take it on consignment for you - the more the merrier!

No need to RSVP for this, the tables will be set out so just show up with your goodies and gadgets!

We can use a few folding tables for the post-holiday party. And folding chairs if possible. If anyone has some we can borrow for the day, please let me know! Thank you!! ~Lona

Lona, We have 8 folding tables and 12 folding chairs that are available, if you need. We don't need to use them this holiday season. The only thing would be getting them from Potomac to Annandale and back. I may be able to deliver some of them in our Volvo SUV and pick them up after. My sister lives just around the corner from you off of Braddock Rd.

I need enough for all the food, (remember how much there was last year?) and for the swap table. Brian's tables are perfect for the food! Bert, would it be possible to get 2 or 3 tables from you too?

We can get 2 to 3, or more, tables to you before the party. Do you need chairs too?

I've got my 'potential' gift for the White Elephant gift exchange! Hope everyone else is thinking of something good. And let's be honest... this is the perfect time to re-gift that awkward something you've been holding onto. Aunt Ethel will never know...

We had our work party today and I wound up with a possible candidate for the grab

I have a set of two outdoor folding chairs and a breakfast-sized table. It's not a lot, but they're small and portable and sitting on a covered porch so they're clean. I'll see if I can get my folding camping chair back too

Also, the part/stuff swap is a GREAT idea! :top:

Melissa, they sound perfect. I'm aiming to make quite a few tables available for people to sit at and become comfortable. There just weren't enough last year and people couldn't put a plate down and eat comfortably. Thank you for your offer!

Can I reserve the Banquet table? I think I'm good on tables with what we have, and what Brian, John and Melissa are providing. But just in case...

Anyway, there are only 18 RSVPs at this time. Last year there were about 50 people here. I may be way over preparing if only half the people show up this time.
