Plasti Dip ideas

Recommended Posts

I found a plasti-dip alternative. It's really expensive, but if you're wanting to do the entire car, it might not be a bad alternative. Also, it comes in any color you want!

In case you don't want to get rid of all of your chrome, you can use this...

So I did some research on the paint wrap and found this thread on the DipYourCar site

http://www.dipyourcar.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-406.html

They did some testing against PD and said this stuff didn't hold up as well. They also state that a lot of the pics on the site are actually cars done in PD and stolen pics from other sites.

If you scroll down far enough they eventually talk about the test results.

You have to take them off the car to PD, right?

Yes you do, that's why I only got around to the rear wheels.

Spring is in the air, time to plasti-dip something. I thought what would say look at me :questionmark:  NEON ORANGE mirrors.

Only think I found was how much my orange stripe from last year has faded, just have to freshen that up.

Leo, the Pick Up is getting ready to get a Plasti-Dip Facelift! Probably going to paint the wheels and then add some stripes. Photo's will follow.

I love the plastidip look however i'm always really hesitant about some DIY projects. I always think that i'll end up messing something up pretty bad. Does anyone know of a paint shop/place where I can take my MINI in to have it done for me?

I'm sure its easy i'm just on the more cautious side when it comes to paint.

Not to sure on a shop but I am more than willing to help/do what ever you need done...I plan on adding some Blue blaze to mine next weekend...Once you do it once you will be more than confident enough to try other tricks with it....The best part is if you don't like it you can just peel it off with no repercussions
