Plasti Dip ideas

Recommended Posts

Ali-I have gunmetal pinstripe tape that is the same width as the beltline. It's yours if you want to try it. It's a big roll, so I'm sure there's enough for a few MINI's.

Oooh I didn't know they made it. Is it the right width for a skinnier first gen beltline? If not, where did you get it? maybe I can order one for Tigger.

so after taking off her sun dried icky ones, decided that i did not like her without them, after pricing new ones thought came into mind plasti-dip. Here is the stages and finished product. Gunmetal grey main stripes with Blaze orange accent to match the lights inside. Going to make hubby open his own plasti dip install shop out of our garage, lol

so I got more Plasti dip BC I'm goin to do my dash And the pillars can't wait

I've been wanting to wrap my pillars in suede. If yours comes out good and doesn't make the interior smell, I might take this route.

It's going to stink up the car, so plan on not driving for a bit after you do it. Tigger really smelled bad on the ride home after Craig PD'd the flames

As long as the weather stays nice the way it has been, I don't drive the MINI around during the week. I'm used to driving without a headliner or pillars, I removed them from my Subaru when I wrapped them in suede.

Well now you went and fixed it so none of this makes sense

Pamela, are you still there? :hahaha:

Check this mini out

That's really pretty. I wonder how long that will last. I think Mike once dipped his whole car. MINIs are small enough that we can do this stuff.

For the Dragon we should all PD the snouts to protect them from rocks on the trip down there and back

I found a plasti-dip alternative. It's really expensive, but if you're wanting to do the entire car, it might not be a bad alternative. Also, it comes in any color you want!

In case you don't want to get rid of all of your chrome, you can use this...
