  1. It's basically the penalty box, but Sin Bin is a much cooler name obviously. You got stuck there if you had an oopsies, accidental or intentional. I came around the first corner, and while there was no one around me, I tapped the breaks too late while I was turning and skid into the side wall and moved a couple of barriers. Oops :embarassed: Someone else ended up in the Sin Bin for the same move I made, not sure who it was but whoever you are, don't fret, I did the same exact thing and ended up in the same exact section of the wall you did! :top:
  2. Tyler, thanks again for organizing this, it was so much fun from start to finish (the intro safety lesson was hilarious!) I can't wait for the pictures, though the couple of us that ended up in the Sin Bin won't be laughing at those. Regardless, I'd love to do it again!!
  3. How many bikes would this fit? I can never seem to find this answer Edit: looks like one Second question: Will it fit a Clubman's roof rack base system? I have the rails-system, not the clamp ons
  4. The pink dancing elephants are a trick to make us think she isn't a threat
  5. Was that this morning? If so, that guy deserved the ticket. I was going past him right as he was pulling back on to the road and the next thing I know he goes buzzing past (I do anywhere from 60-70mph to keep up with general speed of traffic), then as he's going past the Reston Pkwy exit he cuts off people to go zooming over to get off at Ffx Pkwy. I don't normally comment on people's driving habits, if they're being safe I don't care what else they do, but this guy deserved his ticket and obviously didn't learn anything :stupid::banghead:
  6. Mine moved out the next day. I think the only big hold up that occurs at the VDC is if you get certain accessories, mostly the body kits/JCW stuff/driving lights. They install all of that there. I had mine at VDC on Thursday, on a truck the next morning, Sterling Friday night, picked Clubby up Saturday mid-afternoon. Hang in there, I think you'll see your baby soon!! :top:
  7. The distilled water will help greatly, it's most likely the minerals in the tap water they use that is leaving the deposits. The other chemicals are harmful in their own other ways, but not in the deposit way most likely Let us know what you find!
  8. http://www.detailersdomain.com/1Z-einszett-Kristall-Klar-Washer-Fluid_p_219.html If that doesn't look decent, email Phil and ask his suggestion. Even if he doesn't carry something, he's great about pointing you in the right direction at least.
  9. Ali are you coming to the karting event? Or any one else doing both? Pups hold a fond place in my heart and I'd like to chip in a bag of food or two (ok, maybe one for the doggies and one for the kitties, cause I'm a :marshmellow: for this kind of stuff) I don't think I'll be going to the dinner
  10. Registered (at least for me) and ready to race!! :motor:
  11. Hey at least you got the day of the week right. Though, my little mind of mine is telling me that THIS event is why I always think sunday...
  12. Or we can have a pizza lunch! Go-karting burns off sooo may calories obviously :eating:
  13. I do the same. I've been mostly starting my car in a garage this winter, so it doesn't get as super-duper cold. I usually let it sit for a minute or two to get the fluids going again, as it is sometimes a week in between drives. If it's cold in a parking lot, I let it sit for the same minute or so, usually until I can feel the Level 3 Bum Warmer. Then, off I go. Idling a car is generally the worst state for a car and the environment. As long as you don't tax the engine, you're good. I do notice lag in my engine if I go after only 30sec or so and step on it, nice reminder to go easy and give it an extra second or two. My '98 Jetta was a champ at warming up. Germans know their heat I guess
  14. Tyler, I sent you an email. Check should be there before Thursday for 2 :top:
  15. No bueno. I would get it checked Global note while we're on the topic: remember to run your A/C once in awhile during the winter. Keeps everything lubed up and running smooth!
  16. I noticed that mine last night took awhile to start blowing hot air too (I set mine to HIGH, full blast...soooo cold). I figured it might be the fact that it was 15deg when I started driving. I would try letting your car warm up a few minutes before turning on the heat, then time how long it takes. If it doesn't continuously blow warm/hot air once you get it going (starts hot, goes lukewarm, goes hot again) I would get it checked. One weird thing I've noticed in the MINI is that it's kinda...drafty. The door seals let in a bit of cold air while driving and the windows stay freezing the entire time. I do love those bum-warmers though

  19. Who did you buy from? I remember it took about two days after arrival to port to get my baby to the dealer and all checked out, and I used Sterling so I assume that's about as far away as you get from the port!
  20. The event was a smash hit!! With all of the business' and attendees' support, I raised $702 for Avon!! Thanks everyone for the support, I'm now looking forward to LR to support them back! :top:
  21. Possibly those supplying our karts. I'll give them a call :top: Shot them an email, but when I did a quick lookover of the FAQs, they need a valid driver's license. Don't forget those licenses!!
  22. You think they would object if there was cake? It's my boyfriend's birthday on the 10th and this is part of his bday present so obviously cake needs to be semi-involved
  23. I think the MINI and the Toyota teams look the most similar. They have to retrofit the crap out of the cars to make them withstand the elements they face during the race. I always try to guess the make/model when I'm looking at th pics, it's a way more entertaining game than doing it for NASCAR
