  1. Great info, thanks! :top: Your shop is near my work, I'll try to swing by one afternoon I'm at that office!
  2. You wouldn't happen to know the water:soap ratio he used would he? Guess I'll be coming out to this in the fall
  3. Is that a foam "gun" in the first pictures?
  4. FYI, it looked like a regular post card that I almost trashed. I'll take a closer look at the details tonight
  5. Famous last words? Whenever I tackle something that's "just a clip" or "just a screw", I end up creating hours of work for myself :embarassed:
  6. Anyone else get a VIP-service card from MoSterling? It came in the mail on Saturday and although I didn't read all the fine print (:withstupid:) it looks like 15%-20% off parts/service and even Motoring Gear and accessories. I've been laboring over buying cross-bars (for the built in roof rails) and I think I may finally pull the trigger since it's 20% off MG/accessories, anytime, which is pretty nifty. Even with sales tax, this beats most other places...
  7. I leave for a trip to Brussels on the 7th Was looking forward to this, these places are so much fun!
  8. Hey guys! I put in a final headcount to LR of 25, we have 20 signed up and I wanted to leave room in case we have some last minute folks. See everyone at noon!:beer:
  9. Is the new facility open yet? Can't wait to have the old place all to ourselves :top:
  10. I bet I could do a few, but probably only looking at one or two front, maybbee one rear. When my plates were coming up for renewal, I almost went with BLUSHL and put a picture of a Mario Kart Blue Shell on so people would understand. I still wish I had gone with that :top:
  11. This  You should start a "places TGGR's been" magnet collection to go along with it!
  12. I've always wanted to get a badge, never picked a badge holder though. Anyone have suggestions for which one to go with?
  13. I was never a fan of red cars until I saw a CR MCS for the first time. Beautiful color, and your car looks fantastic. I find myself next to a few MINIs at Weggies all the time, hope to see yours soon!
  14. Sorry :embarassed: Didn't realize that, I should've just waited for them to get back to me. Either way, bier is happening.
  15. Well, just my luck, there was a change in date. Some of their staff will be on the road and due to the short-hands, they asked for it to be moved to the 24th. I'm still in, hopefully a good crowd can still come out. We'll get going at noon for tastings/lunch, and people can stay as long or as little as they'd like, though I'm asking for the room until 3pm.
  16. Ok guys, the 23rd is the pending new date. Once I receive the final OK from Lost Rhino, that will be the date! She's aiming to set us up over lunch time, she just needed to finalize things with another group that evening. :top: The other potential is Sunday the 17th, that's still open, but I figured Sterling two days in a row could be hard on non-NoVa people
  17. Sorry guys, never changed the date. Would the 23rd work for people?
  18. While I haven't been on the Dragon for this (yet), I have been down in that area numerous times for hiking/camping, and one thing that everyone needs is some basic survival stuff. Just the basics, including a gallon of water, blanket, flashlight, and chewy bars or something of that nature, is really all you need. Flares and a tire patch/fill kit are road basics you should include too, ESPECIALLY if you plan to do ANY night driving. The last thing you want (and I actually saw this once, years ago) is to have an issue at dusk/dawn/night and be stuck on a blind curve that others could be flying around. Flares can save yours/others lives. You just never know, especially with the way this winter is wrapping up. It's the mountains, plain and simple :top:
  19. All I could think of in that moment was Forrest Gump's bumper sticker :top: and the owner guy going "skidding is sexy, but won't win the race!"
  20. :highfive: Lesson learned: don't hit the brakes in a corner! Ooooops
  21. I got in touch with LR about this. This is their St Patty's day celebration, so things will be packed. They offered up use of their back room on any other weekend though. For those who have RSVP'd, any preference on date?
  22. Also, had a great time with our little mini-adventure (pun not intended) afterwards. Scared the crud out of some woman as 6 MINIs zipped past her on a road :motor:, then watched a giant truck take off a side-view mirror of a parked Mustang (ouch). Still got LR beer though! :top:
  23. I'm beginning to have a history of my +1s beating me at whatever event I bring them too......:hmmmm::top:
