  1. I have a feeling there might be a LOT of MINI's on the shirts! LOL
  2. Yep, another HR MINI member picked up a Civic wheel for his. They work equally well.
  3. We'll be going along with a bunch of HR MINI members. Don (MNI LIMO) will be heading up a run over to the Biltmore on Thursday. Will be a long run, but there are some fantastic twisties over that way!
  4. The last I heard was the SCCA region putting on the autocross didn't feel good about the interest. Being a former SCCA autocross chairman, I'd agree. The insurance is pricey at best and I'm sure they didn't wanna lose money on an event for non SCCA members. Seems I remember it being in Marysville. Which by the way has a big Hoosier Tire distributor there. Having said that, I'd have brought the race tires!
  5. Before you spend too much on a spare, I have a spare from a 2005 Chevy Cobalt for both of my MINIs. The four lug Cobalt works fine on the rear, though you wouldn't want to run a space saver spare on the front anyway. I got mine for 45 bucks each at local salvage yards.
  6. I've also heard this could be due to low coolant level. Make a quick check, when it's cooled off, of course. Saw it mentioned on Motoring Alliance a week or so ago. Good luck!
  7. Very thorough prep and impressive results! Good job!
  8. Dang, I missed this thread. I wouldda said no. And I like graphics. But after seeing them on the car, I wouldda been very wrong. Very good choice! I Likey!
  9. When we had the HR MINI run up to Moss MINI in Petersburg, one of the guys there told us that's the same tips Borla uses on the Full Size pick up exhausts. They do look awesome!
  10. Hey Gang, can't wait to see everyone in Monterey tomorrow. Don't forget your donations for the SPCA of Highland County!
  11.
  12. You should have been in the parlour after one members (X)wife had a few too many.:cheers:With three of us smart :bootyshake:guys giving her a bunch of grief and she got a little :boxing: It was all in fun for us, but she took it a little too seriously.
  13. FANTASTIC! Good job Ali and all the DC gang! I'm really glad this event went well and raising 650 bucks is a major score. I wish I could have made it, it sounds like y'all had a good time.
  14. It was great seeing all the DC MINI owners at Moss yesterday. Y'all always make for a fun time. If ya liked yesterday, wait till next year! It'll be bigger and better than yesterday. I talked with a couple of the Moss guys (who were all great, BTW!) a
  15. Okay, less than 48 hours until the inaugural Moss Motors Open House! Don't forget your shopping list, they'll have some great deals for us as well as an open hour/tour of their huge facility. Hopefully this will be a great event and build on it for s
  16. Probably looking at a cabin filter. Can't hurt. If memory serves me right, I believe you can access it through the glove box area. Also, Fabreze makes a car freshener spray. Turn on the vents and the fan and spray into the ducts in the cowl in front of the windshield. I haven't done mine in a while, but it does freshen up the cabin. You can get it at target, Wal mart, K mart and most auto part stores. Might be worth a try first.
  17. I'd just like to remind everyone that run flats aren't necessarily the safety blanket they get credited to be. Brian hit a rock on HR MINI's Fall Colors Run last year and his run flat instantly turned into a went flat. There was no 50 miles at 50 mph factor involved. He was stopping right there! Even a plug kit and compressor wasn't gonna help in that situation. I have a space saver in the boot of the Clubman and another I put in Tyler's MCS when he goes out of town. I even strap in one of the OEM wheels for my out of town runs, just to be sure. Around town he has enough friends to run by the house and grab the spare for him. Long and short of the story, run flats are nice for some situations, but they won't have you covered in every instance.
  18. By the way, click below to request the latest MOSS MINI catalog to start your shopping plans! https://www.mossmini.com/CatalogRequest/RequestForm.aspx
  19. It's been in the works for a while, but we've finally nailed down a time and date for MOSS MINI's MINI Cooper open house. MOSS MINI Open House August 28, 2010 25651 Simpson road Petersburg, VA 23803 August 28, 2010. Doors open at 10 AM. The
  20. I didn't get as many photos as I'd have liked to, but I did see a bunch being taken. It ws good seeing all the DCMM MINI's show up. WE had about 40 MINI's show up for the drive over to the vineyard. There was some great scenery and some really nice home
  21. Y'all drive safe and careful! We'll see ya at either Bruster's ice cream for the drive over or we'll see ya at he Vineyard!
  22. Money will work fine. They'll have a donation box set up as well as a raffle/drawing for some prizes according to Jacque. Quite often an organization such as this can make a dollar go further than we can. They have access to discounts that we usually do
  23. Okay gang, I got an email from Karin from Animal Connections today. Here's her message: Thanks so much for offering to help our doggies. I was delighted to get your message and look forward to meeting you on Saturday. I got a call this morning from
  24. NEW DEVELOPMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Animal Connections will be at the Vineyard with some rescue animals. It would be great for some of them to find new homes with some great MINI owners. But if you're unable to take a new companion home, t
