Hey! Congrats on the new nephew and we look forward to having you back in town for a few days. PM on the way.

If you can, please post those dimensions and maybe some of us can pitch in to try to find them. A good close up photo would be good too.

OBD-II doesn't actually scan the emissions the way the chassis dyno did. The current method "trusts" the car to tell it how the emissions equipment thinks the car is doing. It's more of an equipment test and it can be fooled. The chassis dyno actually tested the content of the exhaust.

I think I'd pull one of them and make a stop at a local hardware store. Home Depot usually has a good supply of metric nuts, bolts, washers and the like.

I think I have two of those wrenches. Remind me and I'll bring one on Saturday.

I'm with Brian and there are lots of us that have lowered MINIs and had no problems with the levelers. If you'd like to try another gas station, I don't think I'd mention that it's lowered or that the headlight levelers are disconnected.

I'll let you guys work that out with Lona but I certainly wouldn't object to it. I've always got my sanctuary!

I'm glad they have that "Thing" going on. Maybe we can find a mobile pedicure service and have them come visit? http://celebratingyou.com/spa-services/manicures-/-pedicures/index.html

I can appreciate what you are considering but it's not something that I'd do. I do agree with Ali - the first design made it easier to picture since it included the layout of the dash. I would encourage you to consider wrapping it since it's removable. Paint can be removed too but it's expensive and far too easy to damage what's beneath.

Just have 'em buff up the nails really nice so they shine like they have clear polish! She's going to say no to the toe nail polish (I think it's because they watch the nail beds for oxygen flow) just like the fingernails.

Laura - I also used the Hawk pads and really enjoyed them because of the way they worked and the low dust. Right now, I have a set of EBC "Red Stuff" pads to put in Merlin. The biggest difference between the two is that the EBC pads are notched to allow the use of the OEM brake wear sensors. If that's not important to you, I'd say you should go with the Hawk HPS as they will be better for your autocross experience and from my experience, they still work well on the street. That said, I only had them on the rear since I had the Wilwood brakes up front.

She works at the dealership, my guess is she'll give us good advice.

I was going to ask if that was how they feed Tilapia!

Someone isn't very busy at work this morning....

Growing up, we spent most of our time swimming in creeks and ponds so was used to that. I guess I was doing "cool" before it was even cool! Bring on the fishies!

Geez, I'd totally forgotten that you called me out like that Brian! If you go to this with me, we can get massaging seats next to each other and talk about all of those manly man things that manly men talk about when they are in places that manly men aren't expected to be. - sound of fists thumping on chest and making crazy Tim "the tool man" Taylor noise...

Bert - I think you have me confused with someone else regarding that term "Murdered out". I personally think it's over used, and a cliche but I find nothing wrong with it and I really can't complain about it too much as I've done that with two consecutive cars. My previous MINI was Laser Blue and I covered/removed all of the exterior chrome on it. Anyway, this is hijacking this thread. My posts have been and are intended to get guys to drop the social stigma and if you want to get a darn pedicure or manicure, go do it. Let's have a fun afternoon out with our ladies.
-
Bert - I respect your comments but I will point out the fact that I never used any of the expressions you mentioned. Perhaps it's semantics but I used the term "Man Card" and I honestly feel that does not have the same meanings or implications of the other terms referenced. I also never used any reference to "Metro" anything. Perhaps I should have used the quote option since my response was to CARMAN but the slow speed of my typing resulted in my response being posted after another comment. I believe it's obvious from my posts in this thread that the sole intent is to encourage participation without any regards to gender. If any offense was taken, please accept my most sincere apologies as none was intended.

Okay, I mentioned hands! Give your hands some TLC here fella's? Polish and buffing are not required so only you and your manicurist will know the truth!

THAT'S WHAT I"M TALKIN ABOUT! Step up there, play that man card!

Gentlemen of DCMM. Are you gonna leave me swinging in the breeze all by myself with this? Can't we get a showing of men confident enough to make this a true club event? Come on, join us & take some pride in your feet (or hands) and when we are done, let's adjourn to have some great Thai for dinner. Any of you other men gonna join me or am I going to have to go it alone with the Womenz?
