thanks for all the help. Maybe Mini will give me a belated Xmas gift and cover all or part of my main water pump replacement. No warning lights on coolant, no warning lights on anything. So my theory is that this may have been a problem 1 1/2 months ago when i was within warranty but since i really did not use or need the heat much back then till now, i did not know there was a problem. Cause if i did know then it would have been covered by warranty.

Guess i have the 2nd gen rack that goes into the roof after removing the weather stripping from rain guides. will check with dealer about plugs should i decide to remove the base roof rack. Wished i had gotten the running rails when building the car. Wife thought they were silly, and pricey. Little did we know the cost of installing the base rack from the dealer 2 hours labor, from supposed experts in installing these things. I tried and could not. So now afraid to remove for fear of not being able to install. But still wanting to know who makes them for Mini.

HELP!!! So i did take my car in to Mini of Montgomery back in March i think for the water pump recall. They replaced the water pump and timing belt/chain per the recall, no charge. However, lately i have noticed that its been taking quite some time for the heat to come on. And now no heat coming from the vents when i turn the heat on and have driven a bit. So i took the car to Mini of Mont. Then have told me the "aux pump" is damaged or maybe he said cracked, leaked half of my coolant out and that needs to be flushed an refilled, and my serpentine belt needs replacing because of all this. So has there been a "water pump AND an "aux water pump" recall? Could the two be related in my circumstance? Please help, i have till monday before xmas to tell them to fix or not. I also cannot confirm the warranty details. Evan

Thanks for the reply. I could not find Catalina or Quitta in the community system. Could you forward my question to them for me? What i bought were OEM rails that go from drivers side to passenger side that then allow you to add a bike holder, ski rack, etc. I wish too that i had gotten the front to back roof rails installed when i bought the car. Any trick to taking off and re-installing the OEM base rack that you know of? Thanks for your help. Evan

Does anyone know who makes the base roof rack for the Clubman? The kind that are a PIA / impossible to install. I am referring to the ones that install between the rain gutters and the roof. Also, if I remove them, will water get in the holes that are left there if i remove the base racks? Anxious, Evan

Well don't waste your time with Home Depot, Lowes, Graingers, Ace hardware. Covered them and Fastenal in Rockville. No go but they said to look at their website. So one place was good enough to give me the length, thread pitch, size and correct name of the screw. Will look online and let everyone know just in case it helps somebody else. Little Bean

Hi IndiCooper it is the one that attaches to the roof base rack. I am in need of replacing the original screws that hold the plates, etc, to hold the touring bike holder to the base rack.

Everyone, i need help....:banghead: Okay, i need help with the Mini Cooper Bike holder i bought from an individual this summer. Several of the security screws are worn pretty badly and i want to replace them. However, Mini USA and one of the local dealers has been of no help. I also have tried lowes, grangers, Ace, etc hardware stores with no results. Anyone know where i can get the correct screws, their sizes, pitch, etc and or who makes the bike rack base and touring bike holder for Mini? Evan

I have them on my P 914 but that thing from '73 who can tell the difference. Hell, it recirculates gas fumes back into the engine as the car smells when running. Wife even says it smells when parked. Bad fuel line I suspect but I believe the K & N filters are worth the money for savings vs. replacements
