Does anyone have an HD quality video camera that they would be willing to rent/loan? I need to use one on the 21st of July and the rental prices are pretty outrageous (I could buy two GoPro2's for the cost of a two day rental). If you can help out, please PM or email me. Thanks, Craig

IT WAS! Good to see you this morning! Nice move you made on that side of the road, I got caught at every light.
-
You sure you want to know Katie? Targets! I'm building targets that make sounds and react when they hit.

Bert - I'll track some down - don't know how much yet. It won't be too hard though and I can always make up some cables if needed. Rich - Once I get back from MTTS, let's get in touch and I'll be glad to take a couple. I also got 10 used bowling pins in the mail... I bet my mail carrier hates me!
-
Bert - are you looking to just get rid of it or do you need a couple of $$ for it? I can take it off your hands at the next M&G if you can make it there. Jab - Dang. That's how it goes though. I'm willing to be the garage down the street might have a couple. Now I just have to get access to a welder and some ungalvanized chain! This will be fun!

I've already got yours on the list Brian! Yes, Catalina that's what I'm planning on doing with them.

If anyone is interested in meeting up to motor down to Cooper Vineyards together, I'm game. Instead of taking I-95 S to get there, I'm considering taking I-66 W to Gainesville/Haymarket to jump onto US 15/29 S to Culpepper and then onto 522 and 208. I'm contemplating that route for one reason.... Traffic. Saturday morning outbound traffic in I-95 is awful and the last two times I did this event, I spent more time below 15mph than I did at the Vineyard. PM or email me if you are interested - if anyone wants to join in, I don't plan on leaving until about 9:30 (ish). I'll provide a starting point to those interested.

I'm looking for anyone that might have wornout, unused brake rotors or any other heavy gauge steel that they would like to get rid of. If you've got anything laying around and you'd like to know that it's being put to good use for a fun project, give me a shout. PM or email if you have questions.

Welcome Jake! Nice looking ride. Make sure your seat belt is fastened and you keep all limbs inside the vehicle when you set up the tune!

You guys are cracking me up!

USB & mini stereo plug to connect an iPod

I totally get what you are saying. My Cravenspeed mount does an excellent job of holding my GPS so I wouldn't dream of changing that out. I'm not sure if the ProClip would work for a navigator (or navigatrix) because of the angle though. The mount is angled but the clip will rotate 360 degrees and tilt up, down or to either side but I'm not sure if it's enough for the passenger to use it. I'll have to have Lona test it out this weekend. Happy motoring man, see ya at the next M&G. -

Bert, I know you were looking for this so you could put your phone over on the left side of the steering wheel (it was left wasn't it?) but I wanted to let you know that I finally gave in and ordered a ProClip bracket and mount after I couldn't get the Craven Speed brackets to move the phone out from behind the steering wheel without it vibrating like a magic fingers bed while driving. The parts arrived yesterday and I installed them. The mount fits just to the right of the speedo at about the 4:00 position and the bracket is adjustable to fit various phones. I didn't get the "pass through connector" model as I didn't want to be tied to the current iPhone connector (rumors are that the next iPhone will have a different connector). I was very, very happy to find that the OEM cable actually reached the phone without being stretched out. I don't use my phone for Nav but when I'm on the road (even commuting at times), I do run Waze (a total battery hog so having power is a requirement) or the newest version of Escort Live (another online database of various speed cameras, red light cameras and other static enforcement measures). In states where there use is legal, Escort Live also has the ability to interface with a Radar Detector and it will automatically report K band and LASER intercepts so those around you with Live will see them. Here are a couple of photo's of the mount with the phone in it. Sorry, I had the 50mm lens on the camera and I didn't have the energy to run back downstairs for a wide angle. -
Stop it, yer gonna make me:puke: I'm laughing so hard! I just spilled a Dublin Dr. Pepper because of you Celia! (no, really, I did!)
-
What bear would want to eat Celia? There ain't no meat on them bones. Now, they might take her for later to use as a toothpick or something!
-
They aren't REALLY needed in Fontana but if it makes ya sleep better at night, I say go for it!
-
Bert - it really does depend upon the route you intend to take. A very viable option is to make your last run on the Dragon into TN and then head on North to I-40/I-81 to head east. Bristol TN/VA is about 100 miles from Knoxville and that puts you at about 360 miles from getting back to our stomping grounds up here. Some folks don't like I-81 because it is a main route for big trucks but it's not that bad really and if you already out that way, it almost doesn't make any sense to head all the way out to the east to head up through Richmond and back into the D.C. area on a holiday weekend.

Yeah, I think I was comfortable with two pair of shoes - my flip flops and my other shoes....

Laura needs that much lead time to figure out which shoes to take!

I thought about that - trust me. The powdercoating's "off gassing" makes it unfit for food preparation. If I didn't ever cook, it would be a different story!
-
I have a full set of OEM springs from a 2009 R56. They had about 7,000 miles on them when swapped out and they have been in the corner of the closet ever since. Free to a good home and if you need to have them installed, we can work out some kind of deal - it's not that hard to do.
-
If I could find a cheap used oven and a certified electrician willing to work cheap, we'd have powdercoating options! The oven would be needed to do the "Baking" part of the powder coat process and I'd need an electrician to run the 220v out to the garage to power the oven. With a set up like that, custom wheel/part powdercoating would be a pretty simple process!
