That really sucks Celia! I hate it when something like that reflects upon our community. I've got at least one image that I'll send over right now.
-
I bet this is one thread on the entire Forum that Haemish will visit once and then never, ever visit it again... I'm headed to the pd store to see what colors and other products they have!
-
Good call! That would be a mess if we were out there stomping around in a "punkin patch" in the rain....
-
You guys did a great job setting up the run to the picnic and Bert, your daughter was a great announcer for the navigation. Thanks a bunch for putting it all together, we really had a good time today.
-
Celia - you are so funny! They took great care of us as usual and it was good to have new members come by so we could finally meet in person. We also had new members signing up!
-
I'm hoping everyone going to the picnic has RSVP'd. I swapped a couple of emails with them this morning and they are at their limit so we don't want to roll in with an "overload". Looking forward to having a good run and picnic!

It looks like that second guy is peeling Plasti-Dip off his behind or something... You are right Ali, installing the clear bra is a job for a professional. Not sure if you guys remember but the original install on Merlin went back twice to be corrected and after the little "fender bender", it went back two more times. Best to let the pro's do that since it's on them to correct mistakes.
-
Maybe Haemish can talk to him about the many wonderful uses of Plasti-Dip? He seems to have a "thing" for it these days.
-
Ya know, Mark could just Plasti-Dip the "Schnout" on Max for the weekend.
-
What a wonderful breakfast treat it was too!
-
GreenCactus mentioned it a while back and I've actually started thinking about doing a plasti-dip "bra" for the Dragon next year. NOOOOO, not on me! ON MERLIN! It would serve two purposes (one for sure, one that I'd have to test). The first is that it would prevent all of the bug guts on the front end of the car and the second is that I think it would make the car pretty much "LIDAR PROOF" since there's nothing to reflect any energy back... Hmmm, testing is in order.... And that kind of passive countermeasure isn't illegal!
-
Stephanie, Unfortunately, those won't work for you. Those are 1st Gen pads. PM me, I may have an option for you.
-
LR has basic photo editing abilities but it's not meant for that purpose. It's kind of like building spreadsheets in Word and documents in Excel. LR is a workflow management tool that happens to have those basic editing tools. Elements is a much more powerful editing application that will meet or exceed the needs of about 75% of the people out there. I still say GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) is a very viable option and if ya don't like it, it didn't cost anything.
-
Mike - if you are looking for simple photo editing, you can save a boat load of money by using GIMP. It's free, open source and it's pretty darn good. After that, the next step would be Adobe Photoshop Elements. I'm not certain but I think Picassa has some image editing capabilities too. Like Ali, I'm using CS6 because I'm going into greater detail and I need what it brings to the game.
-
That and the front is a royal PITA to swap out. The good thing about the sway bar is that it's a reasonably simple DIY job.
-
Hey Ryan, don't forget you also have an aftermarket downpipe and VIP Custom Designs exhaust! Yeah, for the $500 range, a sway bar would be right down your alley (not your Ali because she's Mark's Ali).
-
Yellow would be your best choice if you want to keep the colors right. Yellow is complimentary to Blue on the color wheel.
-
It's the chrome. Saw a Harley guy yesterday, his Tshirt had "It's all about the chrome" on the back. Hard to read at first, his pony tail was flopping all over and blocking the view... I'm gonna be the first blacked out Harley owner I guess.
-
Here's one for your "Look what I did over the weekend" file. Look closely though. Safety glasses and all were in place!

I was headed over to tag a nice looking 2nd Gen Black Cabrio in the Safeway Parking lot in Burke this afternoon. The owner walked up at the same time (he was wearing a JCW ballcap). Midnight Black w/ Black top, JCW. We stood in the rain for a few minutes talking and I gave him a card. He's heard of DCMM and he's heard about MTTB so he's interested! License is MINI JCW.
