  1. Yikes! A bit steep.
  2. Chris: Please don't take offense, but it sounds to me as if you would benefit greatly from an experienced installer for the electrical portion of your lights. Messing with the electrical system on a MINI can be a costly undertaking if you don't know exactly what you're doing. If you are determined to do this by yourself, there are a number of DIY sites on NAM and elsewhere that can walk you through the process. The search feature is your best friend.
  3. me neither
  4. Sign me up for a men's large crewneck.
  5. Glad to hear you're happy. (I was the one who suggested VIP.)
  6. Welcome! Looks nice, and well-cared for.
  7. I have one too, and it does what its supposed to do. My only complaint is that it sometimes doesn't stick to the windshield. Any suggestions on how to improve its 'stickiness?'
  8. If you don't find any other solution I might be willing to loan you my extra one, but I don't want to sell it as long as I have my present H/K equipped R53.
  9. There is some chance I might stop by on my way back from visiting friends in Upper Marlboro.
  10. Sorry that I'm not going to make it after all. Not so much the weather as other things. Laura, pls mail my stuff to me and pls let me know what I owe you for postage.
  11. I'm going (wife too). Arriving Wednesday, leaving Sunday. Staying in a 2-bedroom Hemlock. Signed up for the wine tasting, the Cherohala drive (led by Katie), the Brew Swap, and Farewell Dinner. Thinking about signing up for the Biltmore. Looking forward to it!
  12. Not sure how you expect to mod your car in such a way that it is 'invisible' to the dealer, unless it is something easily restored to stock in the event of a warranty claim.
  13. Does anyone have a single, used but with some remaining tread, Michelin Pilot Exalto 205/45ZR17 laying around? Hate to replace an entire set for a single irrepairablly damaged tire. TIA.
  14. Check out www.minifini.com. Its a comprehensive system of carriers and towing accessories.
  15. Looking at the Carmax ad, it does seem to be a JCW; I see the front grill badge and the sticker on the engine.
  16. Question: Are you certain that this car is a true JCW? I don't see the JCW boot badge, and those exhaust tips look standard.
  17. That is the trailer hitch system made by MiniFini.
  18. Looks nice! I've already found lodging. Thanks for thinking of me.
  19. Changing a battery on a Gen1 MINI varies depending on whether its an S or a Justa. Mine is an S, and it was very easy. I went with an OE battery from the dealer, although there are cheaper alternatives out there. And, our OE radios do not have a security code that needs to be reset, at least mine didn't.
  20. Anybody got extra lodging? Please keep me in mind.
  21. Long overdue! But welcome nonetheless.
  22. I have seen them on other cars but don't yet have them myself. I have an engine damper from VIP and its 1st class.
  23. I prefer these: www.vipcustomparts.com
  24. Try Mach V in Sterling.
