1. I don't know if the design is the same on the first gens, but I did my rear brakes on my R56 a couple of weeks ago and I used a pair of needle-nosed pliers to turn the "x" in to retract the piston.

Since everyone seemed to like the Scoops & Coops night run, I thought we could try another moonlight run.

This time, we'll meet at Andy Nelson's BBQ, 11011 York Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030 and grab something to eat before we take on Baltimore County's Hereford Zone, where they don't believe in streetlights or painting centerlines on their roads

If you thought these roads were fun on daylight runs, just wait 'til you drive them in the dark. Lots of hills and plenty o' twisties.

Run time will be approximately 1 and a half hours.

We'll end in Wegman's parking lot again so bring your grocery list.

Well, maybe no...not yet at least.

Are you ready for an adventurous Sunday excursion?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/skippyfish71/3809641787/

First, we'll start off by meeting around 8:30am at BWI's Friendship Park off of Dorsey Road (MD-176) to do a little Plane watching. Bring your cameras and camcorders. The view from the park shows planes coming in for landings.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/skippyfish71/3810455762/in/photostream/

Here's a link to get to the park:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=101599648366960923978.00043aa8cb34596c6f213&ie=UTF8&ll=39.165372,-76.661525&spn=0.0185,0.045362&z=15

From there, we'll start our run promptly 9:30am (earlier if everyone is there) by heading to downtown Annapolis and park down by the docks to enjoy the beautiful harbor, take in the sights, and take lots of pictures of the minis and boats of Ego Alley. Did I mention to bring cameras?

Depending on how many of us there are and the fact that we'll be down there on a Sunday morning, there should be plenty of parking. (NOTE: There is metered parking down by the docks and I do know that their machines also take credit cards.)

l]

NOTE: I don't think the Park at BWI has a restroom, so the plan is to make a quick stop at McD's about 1/2 way between BWI and Annapolis.

Finally, to round out the day, at around noon, we'll depart the docks and take a short drive to Quiet Waters Park for a picnic. Bring your own food and drink (no alcohol), chairs, blankets, etc. It is not necessary, but feel free to bring something to share if you would like. Suggest you keep it simple and non-perishable. I believe they also have concession stands as well. Oh yeah, don't forget your cameras.

Quiet Waters Park has a lot to offer, so please visit their site for details, information, and rules. Dogs are allowed.

http://www.aacounty.org/RecParks/parks/quietwaters/

Daily parking fees are $6.00 per car. If you live in the area, you can also buy annual passes for $40.00. If you are service connected, (military, veterans, and their families), entry is free as long as you have proper id.

We have reserved a pavilion (Dogwood). This way we are guaranteed a spot w/cover,parking together, and grilling if want to. Based an the number of 'yes' rsvp's so far, the pavilion will be $10.00 per per car + the cost of parking (see above). If more members rsvp, then the cost of the pavilion goes down.

The Dogwood pavilion has 2 large picnic tables and 6 small picnic tables, as well as one large grill available. Organized games are not recommended nearby, but you may set up horseshoes, volleyball, and badminton in the field to the south of the large playground. The closest accessible restrooms are available at the Visitor Center, which is a 2 - 3 minute walk. Boat rentals are 6-minutes away, down the adjacent Harness Creek foot path.

600 Quiet Waters Park Road

Annapolis, MD 21403

Things to Bring:

2 way radios

Food and drink for the picnic

Folding chairs and/or blankets (I'll be bringing a small folding table)

Bug spray

Cameras/camcorders

Coolers

Change/Cash for parking in Annapolis and pavilion/parking for QWP

Your Mini and Mini-wear if you have it

Field games

If your obsessive like me, a cloth to touch up your mini during/after the run for pictures

For those who might not be able to start the run with us and want to meet us somewhere or for those who have last minute changes (can or can't come), please feel free to call me on my cell at 410-971-1921.

Looking forward to the 30th and seeing you all and your minis on the 1st Annual C3M Picnic of 2009.

For more information, check out the C3M page

 20. We made a short day of it. There was too much heat and not enough breeze. There were karts everywhere! The most fun to watch were the "kid karts". They were really short wheelbase karts with I guess 6-8 year olds racing them. With the tiny karts and l
