  1. The indie blue MINI with the Herbie stripes is Mike, a.k.a. Herbie_53_Guy. He loves to sweep and take video...
  2. Over the last 5 years, this has become our Club's "mini" MINIs On Top. I arrange blocks of rooms at 2 local hotels and a lot of people stay Friday, Saturday or both. We have a G2G Friday night, do the Mountain run Saturday and this year I hosted a Sunday run to Harvey's Lake. A full weekend of Motoring. We start in Bear Creek, do Giant's Despair, lunch at World's End State Park, see High Knob Overlook, take a lap around Eaglesmere Lake, see the last falls at Ricketts Glen and come down from the mountains to eat BBQ in Wyoming Valley. 186 miles of fun. Our runs are open to all MINI owners and as a non-Member we require $5 and for you to sign a waiver. I can post it here next year or feel free to join our Forums at http://www.PhillyMINI.org. Forums are free, all you need is a VIN. Cheers, Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  3. We feel like we hit the Google Earth Lottery. Last year on the PhillyMINI In The Mountains IV Run, 40+ MINI's were passed by the Google Earth car. Well guess what, it finally surfaced on Google. Follow the link and look at the street view.... We were re-queing our cars near Muncy Valley, PA on Route 220/42, on a long straight-a-way, after turning right on Route 220, but just before turning left on Route 42. Follow link: Muncy Valley, PA - Google Maps Cheers, Joe Montante Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  4. Just bumping this along as the Summer is ending and November will be here before you know it. Are you guys interested in doing a dual club meet and greet during the Punkin Chunkin weekend in early November? PhillyMINI Members seemed interested and will most likely be attending the event. The M&G could be a simple dinner and drinks at a local pub or restaurant. Let us know, Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  5. We are getting some interest and good feedback on our site. Hopefully the same here and we can chunk some punkins together in November. Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  6. FYI, I posted a teaser/feeler thread on our website to gauge interest. I think we may have the seed planted for a great dual club meeting/event. Feel free to check us out at http://www.phillymini.org. All it takes is a MINI VIN# to register and gain access to our Forums. We can see how interest in both clubs progresses and maybe do it as an overnight with a combined club social gathering for dinner and drinks on Saturday night. Thoughts are welcome. Cheers, Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  7. I looked and it is about 3 hours from Philly. We may actually be meeting in the middle and just a little bit east. If you could monitor interest in your club, I will do the same in ours. I also will look into accommodations in the area for those who may want to be "chunkin" all weekend. Sounds like we may have something here. :top: Cheers, Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  8. Hey Ron, nice to see you here as well. We had very loosely spoke to DCMM about a dual club event. I was wondering if the Punkin Chunkin event in Nassau, DE would be a good opportunity. See you in a few days, Joe
  9. Thanks. Once upon a time our clubs loosely discussed a dual club event meeting in the middle somewhere. We currently have the Punkin Chunkin event in Delaware on our calander this year. November 6, 7 and 8 in Nassau Delaware. Don't know distance from DC, but let us know what you think. :top: Cheers, Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
  10. Hey DC Metro MINI, Joe from PhillyMINI here. I registered to see what you guys are up to this year. I tried to acces other portions of your site, but I guess no Forum access unless you are a paid Member. Have a great 2009 Motoring Season, Joe Co-Prime MINIster, PhillyMINI
