  3. I'm getting rid of the Thule Roof Rack I had for Cricket. I bought it 2nd hand for not a lot and have since lost the keys for the locks. It wasn't in great shape when I got it and it's no better now. So, it's FREE! I just want it gone and would rather not just throw it away. It will fit a 2nd gen 2-dr hardtop. I don't believe it will fit anything else, though you may be able to buy adapters from Thule directly. Pick up in Poolesville or Tysons or deliver to an event we're both attending.

  4. There is WiFi at Fontana, but it can be unreliable.
  5. I’m signed up for that too!
  6. That one does sound really interesting. I'm not planning on signing up for any other ones.
  7. This!!! My second year I overbooked myself so much I hardly had a moment to rest. Now, I don't sign up for any drives at all!
  8. I still have these... price dropped to $20!
  9. I'm bumping this because I still have it and still haven't used it. Price dropped to $50!!
  10. I’m keeping an eye on the weather today. If it’s bad tonight, I’m not going to make it.
  11. I'm registered!
  12. I will bring Maple Bacon Muffins.
  13. The place @Edge used was D&V autobody in Sterling. Michael has used them as well and they do great work. They are NOT cheap, but you get what you pay for. When Gretchen was rear-ended, I took her to Poolesville Autobody and they did a great job. It was very reasonable (not that I cared, the at-fault insurance picked up the tab). A full bumper repaint was $400 and took about 3 days.
  14. Is it EVER going to stop raining???
  15. I'm going to skip the run due to the distance, but I'll see everyone at Ptuning!
  16. Ill help with registration and take down/setup/move.
  17. I'm really, really not happy about this, but I had to cancel. The weather is looking even worse now and I don't want to go through all of the trouble to make the costume for it to be cancelled anyway. ?
  18. The weather looks horrible for Saturday.
  19. I have an eye doctor appointment on Wednesday in MD, so I won't be able to make this.
  20. I would definitely be interested in this!
  21. I'm remaining a maybe, but it's really unlikely I'll make it. I will try to meet up for lunch or desserts, though.
  22. Dana is going, but she hasn't RSVP'd yet. She's not on the website much. I know she's going because I'm helping her with Miranda's costume.
  23. I really appreciate everyone's input on this. Michael is putting the Roadster in storage for the winter and decided that it will strictly be a summer car, so no need for winter tires. His winter tires happen to be the exact size I need and they are in great shape. So, I will be going with those and then buying new wheels and summer tires in the Spring. In case you're curious, the tires are Michelin Alpins. They are really, really good winter tires but I don't think they are available anymore, at least not in the size I need.
  24. We are trying to get rid of the original wheels that came on the Roadster. They are black, 16" 6-Star Twin Spoke Alloy Wheels. They are in nearly perfect condition. They do have tires mounted, the stock Continental All-Season Runflats, but they are pretty much done. You might be able to get a little life out of them, though. They are currently being stored in Pennsylvania, but we are taking the Roadster up this weekend to put her away for the winter, so it would be the perfect time to bring them back. I don't have any pictures, but here's a link to what type of wheels they are. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/BMW-Mini-16-Inch-R119-6-star-Twin-Spoke-Alloy-Wheel-Black-Genuine-6856969/6008067091 These will fit 2nd Gens, but if your MINI is pre-2011, the TPMS is not compatible, so it will always show the low-tire light. I'm asking $100. They will be available for pickup after 10/22/18 in Poolesville.
  25. I would like to get some opinions on tires. I have to buy new ones as the ones I was going to get from a friend are too big. Here's what I know: I want all-seasons (I have had a winter/summers before and while I'd love to do that again, I just don't have the $$ to commit to a new set of wheels right now) I don't care about run flats. I have them now, they're fine, but I carry a plug kit anyway. If they blow out, I'm still getting towed. Size 205/45R/17 They will be going on a 2016 2dr Cooper S. I currently have the Pirelli Centaurato P7s and I'm not a fan. I don't like how they handle. I've been looking at the Michelin Pilot Super Sport A/S, but I'd love to hear from "real" people and not just internet reviews. Thanks!!
