    Happy Hour

    Ted's closes at 10:30...
  2. Detroit Tuned carries a compact spare that will fit over most brakes. http://www.detroittuned.com/mini-cooper-spare-tire-4-lug/ Michael and I have both switched from run-flats to regular tires, but no spare. We both carry plug kits and a compressor. This won't help if you completely blow out a tire, but run-flats won't help with that either. (I hit a pot hole last winter and blew out the sidewall on my winter run-flats). I hope this helps!
  3. Great idea, but we're in PA, so we won't be able to make it.
  4. And again today... and a day last week... I drive that route every morning between 7:00-7:30, so if the fuel pump gives up, you won't have to wait alone for a tow.
  5. Click the link to ECS. That's an old thread. The part is now $1111.50. That's really not cool of MINI to jack up the prices like that.
  6. Cricket has had a lot of parts replaced under the parts warranty that were originally replaced under the factory warranty. I think you should talk to someone other than Kristen.
  7. Cricket's replacement HPFP failed a few weeks ago. I'm well out of the warranty, so I had to pay out of pocket. Ptuning did a great job and I definitely didn't pay $1200 for the part, though it was looking like I might have to. There are couple of people on the various MINI Parts Buy/Sell Facebook pages that are parting out cars, so maybe that could work? Also, try Way Motor Works or Detroit Tuned. They may have a source that's less expensive.
  8. I saw Alex and Shadow on MacArthur this morning! :itsme:
  9. I have a question about the new v-necks. Is the sizing similar to the old v-necks or more like the regular women's shirts?
  10. Cabrios cannot go through car washes. I wouldn't even take it through a touchless. I should add that I don't take cars through car washes (except a touchless when I'm really desperate). They just do too much damage.
  11. Good call! Thank you for rescheduling and not just cancelling. Have I mentioned how much I HATE winter?!?!!?? :motz::ridinghorse:
  12. Not yet. She's still at Ptuning. They haven't figured it out yet, though they suspect it might be the HPFP. That will really suck, because I'm well out of the warranty. However, assuming it IS the HPFP.... MINI extended the warranty on them to 10years/100k. Cricket has a 128k, but the HPFP was replaced under the original warranty in 2011 at 55k. Is there a case to get MINI to replace it again? I have no confidence in the dealerships anymore. All of the good people have left.
  13. Hey! This is next Saturday!! What is everyone bringing? We're trying to plan our food contribution and want to make sure it's unique. (We do take requests!)
  14. I had mine replaced in 2011 or 2012. (Cricket is a 2007) I could get her started, but it was hard and it didn't sound like that. You went to the right place, if it is the HPFP, there's an extended warranty on it. Hopefully that's the issue and you'll be good to go!
  15. Thank you! That's great to know. I'll be sure to mention it to Ptuning!
  16. I appreciate everyone's input! I have an appointment at Ptuning on Monday. I'm hoping it's something as simple as the carbon buildup. While it may not be a cheap fix, at least nothing is "broken".
  17. 127,500 I've decided to call PTuning tomorrow. I think I've reached the end of my capabilities.
  18. Cricket has been having some issues lately. She won't start the first few tries, then the idle is really rough. It evens out in a couple of minutes. The check engine light comes on and the code shows misfires. We've replaced the spark plugs and the coils. She ran fine all week, until this morning. Same issue and same codes saying misfires (cylinders 1, 3 and random). Any thoughts? I really hate to take her to the dealership.
  19. I was curious about who was actually making the chili! We will be bringing some type of dessert.
  20. In order to accommodate the tighter timeline since we have the police escort, we will be opening registration at 7:30am. :top:

  22. Michael and I are here, in case anyone decides to stop by. We walked over, so no MINIs in the parking lot.
