  1. I've seen from some other FB posts that there must be some sort of stomach thing going around but it didn't last long. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my Cottage Pie for long... another thing... I think I mentioned at the meeting that we needed more runs, that's not exactly what I had in mind.:laugh:
  2. Well, I think I must have had a stomach bug then.
  3. Did anyone else get sick tonight after eating there?
  4. You've got mail.... :pcguru:
  5. Wow! That's just weird! I watched you unwrap it from the plastic wrap and install it the other day and it looked fine sans the grill. I can't understand how it could have come off without you seeing it happen. I hope you find a replacement!
  6. I think B.A. got a little of his pep back!
  7. No, I didn't skim, Ali only mentioned where it was on sale, she didn't make a specific statement that you should go buy it yourself Here she did.... but this was after Hey, when are you planning to pick it up?
  8. That's what I was thinking, mine's not quite as old, but still old enough. Ali, I was also wondering the same thing.
  9. Count me in for the "after M&G" seafoam party!
  10. Ali, I thought you had the DDM Intake? The filter might be made by K&N. As far as intakes, there are only three I know of that most consider good: JCW - Expensive Dinan - Discontinued DDM - still available (I thought this was the one Way installed) The reason that it is important is that though they are all referred to as CAI (cold air intake), some testing has been done over the years and some of the crappier aftermarket intakes were determined to allow engine heat into the intake which pretty much negates the cold aspect, which is what you want for making power. I'm using the Dinan which was installed about 5 years ago, so I must admit I'm not in tune with all the currently available options that I might not have listed above. Research is good and maybe someone else can chime in if they know of another good intake.
  11. I'm surprised you aren't installing it in your new MINI. Id like to know how to set up the boost display, maybe you can show me? I just got the craven mount for mine.
  12. Looks like you may have takers, Ill just follow this thread in case something falls through.
  13. I'm surprised there are no takers. I'm out of town, but if you don't find someone, I could come grab it next week. Id hate see it go in the trash.
  14. I'm excited! I feel like it's been a LONG time since I've seen the club and other MINIs. I'll bring a Frisbee
  15. will there be a pre or post picnic run?
  16. The stock ignition components are really fine for everyday usage and won't provide any real performance gains, in fact, RMW uses stock wires, coil, and plugs for there 300+ Horsepower GP Racing Car which they had on display at MOTD. I've personally discussed this with Jan. Upgrading these items seems to be a waste of money.
  17. Back in June, I installed a GP Intercooler on my '06 R53. I had intended to do a detailed write-up, but didn't really follow through. So, I just took a few pictures along the way. Below are three that pretty much sum it up. Swapping the Intercooler isn't very difficult and can be done in about an hour if you understand the process. The first picture just shows the stock IC before removal, the second picture shows the newly installed GP IC. NOTE: one minor downside to the GP is that the spark plugs are covered by the additional rows along the top, so changing spark plugs will now require removal of the IC!! This really isn't a huge issue since the spark plugs aren't changed very often. The third picture is the finished install with a DDM Works air diverter installed atop the GP IC. Picture #1 - Stock IC Picture #2 - GP IC Picture #3 - GP IC with DDM Works Diverter
