So I have been a bit of an anglophile and a British car geek since birth -- My first car was a 1968 MGB and I also had a 1967 B.  I have been on a LONG hiatus from British cars, but that hasn't kept me from salivating every time a Mini drives by.  My wife and daughter know that quiet little "I want a mini!" that comes out under my breath every time I see one.

Well, I am closer than I have ever been.  I am currently shopping for my first Mini.  The target is a 2018/19/20 Countryman S All4 in BRG.  I am working on a couple of options, and hope to be there in the next week or two.  I am loving the site.  There is just a ton of great info here!!

We are so happy you are here! We understand the love of the MINI. We hope you are able to get your dream MINI in time to join us for the start of our drive season (Which will be some time in February). If you have any questions, please ask away, as you have discovered, there is a lot of MINI knowledge here.

Note: I always like to draw attention to the national events that we MINI people enjoy (Something I did not know about when I got my first MINI in 2020). Check out MINI Takes The States / MINIs On The Dragon / MINIs On The Mack

  2. POSTPONED

Due to the surge in Covid cases we have decided to postpone the Post Holiday Holiday Party until things calm the heck down. Hopefully, some time in the spring.

Hold on to those charming white elephant gifts 🐘though because we will still do a gift exchange.

  3. Hi Amy, Steve & Bean!

We're so excited that you'll be joining the ranks of MINI ownership. You already feel it, that this car will become an obsession. We know it too, you're in the right place!

We are currently on a short hiatus for drives, our next club drive will be the "Mistress Run" in February. Runs are great places to check out the club and we hope you will join us. Just watch the club calendar, or our Facebook and Instagram pages for details.

I'd also like to encourage you to check out some of the cool National events that we all do as MINI owners.
-MINIs Take the States is a sponsored event by MINI USA (The route is coming through MD & VA next year)

-MINIs On The Dragon is a great event we do as a club

    -MINIs On The Mack

Can't wait to see your new MINI!

  4. My kid totaled my beloved 2010 Ford Flex (I CAN LOVE MORE THAN ONE CAR) so he's been using my STXMINI while he tries to find a new used car in his price range (He'd have better luck finding the treasure on Oak Island right now.)

I really could use a run, just so I can actually drive my own car again, but we are Covid positive in our house and I feel like a truck ran me over.

  5. We have a date! 📅

Saturday January 15th at 6:00 pm

Our Club Holiday party will be hosted by Corey & Brandy.

2 William Albert Way Lovettsville, VA 20180

This will be a POT LUCK, please let us know whatcha cookin' when you RSVP (Which will come a bit later this month). DCMM will provide the drinks.

There will also be a White Elephant gift exchange, so now's the time to get rid of that ugly, I mean adorable scarf Aunt Betty knit for you!

  6. Event Title: POSTPONED: Post Holiday Holiday Party

    Event Date: 01/15/2022 06:00 PM

    Event Address:

    THIS EVENT IS BEING POSTPONED

It’s time to bring back the DCMM post-holiday party. We have all survived our relatives but are not ready to let the Holidays end. Come join your fellow MINIacs to catchup on the winter projects we have completed, those we haven't got to yet, and what MINI goals we all have for the new year. We will be having a Potluck for everyone to show off the culinary skills, along with a white elephant gift exchange. Nothing starts the new year off on the right foot like stealing gifts from your fellow MINIacs.

Where: Corey and Brandy's house at 2 William Albert Way Lovettsville, VA 20180. The direct route (Waze/ google maps) has nice roads, but we will post a fun twistie route to get there soon for those that would like to get a fun drive in on the way.

Parking: The house in on a non-through road so there is plenty of curb parking with no traffic to worry about.

Food: As is our tradition, this will be a Potluck event. Please post what you will be bringing so we can ensure there's a wide variety.

Beverages: We'll have a variety of non-alcoholic beverages available. If you prefer to partake of adult/intoxicating beverages, please BYOB and plan on having a DD.

Gift Exchange: For those interested in participating, there will be a White Elephant gift exchange. (Limit gifts to no more than $25.00.)

Questions? Volunteers to set up and/or clean up? Please PM or email anyone on the board.

    RSVP on the event here:

Hi guys! Great run today. We happened upping a Veterans Day parade that’s going from 1-5 on Main Street in Brunswick on the way home just wanted to mention it in case anyone else was interested. Also, here are some pictures I took from today. Happy Sunday!

Never been on DC mini run/meeting before.

    That being said ..

-do I just show up at museum.

-anything special other than myself do I need to bring.

    Thanks James

Hi DB, while this is not a DCMM sponsored event it looks like there is some interest by other members for this. We are thinking of meeting somewhere and driving together to St. Michael’s. Let us know if you’re interested in that.

  11. The only thing that would keep me from going to a pumpkin/pork/and pie run (3 of life's favorite things) would be if the All Blacks came to Fed Ex field to play Team USA.

Not that that would ever happen...

    oh, wait....

RUGBY TIME! Sorry we'll miss this one friends.

    Where is lunch?

Weird, at some point a place called the Ladder House in WV was listed as the lunch stop but now it's gone from the detail post.

Mike and I are grabbing some sandwich stuff at the Brunswick Weis stop for a picnic at the lunch stop since it's going to be such a nice day.
