  1. had a great drive around the beltway, by the way when I pass you in a classic mini with 36hp you are driving to slow on the highway. MoCo mini hooked me up with a all4 Paceman S through the weekend, only had 50 miles on it. I will definitely work on breaking it in.:motor:
  2. I will be driving watson up and around the beltway tomorrow afternoon to drop him off:motor:. I'll wave out both windows if I see any other minis.
  3. Awesome, looking forward to it:top:
  4. Has anyone heard if this is offically going, it still says tentative on the HR mini website:questionmark:
  5. I will have to look at our schedule but I think I am going to bring Watson out. :motor:
  6. Welcome, very cool car. How to see you around
  7. Great gas mileage and they sell roof racks for them. If it doesn't fit in a mini do you really need it. You may get some second looks with your bike strapped to the roof.
  8. It should ride nice with all the bushings being recently replaced, that is definately on the winter projects for watson
  9. Wasting a rainy Friday surfing craigslist and found a 1961 mini cooper s, though they did not come with a 1275 cc motor till way later. All that orange reminds me of someone!! http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/3851546412.html
  10. Very nice looking, I am a big fan of that reef blue
  11. congrats on your new addition, welcome, and look forward to meeting you soon.
  12. I don't know about those, but I installed a M7 CAI on Brandy's 09 clubbie. It works great and sounds awesome.:motor: http://www.m7tuning.com/parts/product_info.php?cPath=7_8&products_id=117
  13. Watson always seems to turn the most straight forward tast into an adventure, He has been sounding like a eighteen wheeler on the back side of a mountain (i.e. u-joint going bad). So I decided to pull it this morning. After 11 hours, 2 trips the harbor freight, and some colorful language it is out. I included a few photos of my new mini tricycle, and the evil u-joint. Hope to be able to seak of to the auto hobby shop on base and use the press the switch out the the joint in the yokes.
  14. just washer the countryman, don't want to show up with a dirty car even if its a loaner. After cleaning it, I really wanted to grab one of the cans of black PD and black out the headlight rings, it would look so much better. I wonder in the dealership would even notice when I gave it back :questionmark:
  15. Today I has following a black convertible JCW, license plate "MINI JCW" south on route one just past quantico. Any know them, wasn't able to keep up in the minivan.
  16. torn between coming to the run in the PMoA loaner countryman or taking Watson to a local little car show.:hmmmm:
  17. unique for sure, I had a buddy a few years back that had tires with about a 2 inch yellow stripe in the center of the tread. He wanted to see what the burnouts looked like, so he went to the big empty parking lot and did a few. Back fired when someone had called the cops, when they came they saw the yellow stripes, and his tires. So they ran his plates knocked on his door and handed him a ticket.
  18. i think ali needs a set of these tires http://www.1addicts.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=814958&d=1359891790
  19. tiger blood, WINNING!!!
  20. this is the emotocon foe ADD:rofl:
  21. that would be a good first time project to try, if you want black go to home depot or lowes (8 bucks) versus ordering online for 15 bucks a can. you can also use black electrical tape to back out that trim very easily. just run tape then run an exacto knife on the seam. it will trim and press into the seam at the same time.
  22. Thats is the best part of plasti-dip, if you screw up just peal off and try again. What are you looking to do or have done:questionmark:
  23. While doing my scan of CL for anything good. I came across a GP here in Fredericksburg and thought I would share:motor: http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org/cto/3799217126.html
  24. just read in the ptunning post that you a dropping smokie, not sure if a bottle jack will work due to clearance, you will probably need to use a scissor jack. I would wait till after you lower and measure your clearance from jacking point to ground.
  25. if you are looking for a jack when doing projects, sears had a 3ton jacks, 2 stands, and a creeper for 99 bucks. Brandy got it for me last year and works great on her clubman. I have to drive watson up on ramps first to get the jack under, but prefer that way less twist to the subframe. Harbor freight has lot of good bottle jacks for carrying around. when loooking the wider the base the more stable. Any time you have a reason to go to harbor freight its a good thing.
