On my calander as well. I can't confirm due to work but I would like to go. Although you guys will probably lap me a few times. :motor:
We classics bring up the rear in our own group (4 of us last year) as long as you can run 55 to 60 you will keep up no problem.

Plasti-dip!!!

What will your MINI not be called then? Make it an unpronouncable symbol like Prince did.
Then we would refer to it as the car formally named Barney

I recently pick up a aeroforce interceptor gauge for brandy. It came in a speedcraven pod. So I was wondering if anyone has pulled off a mounting bracket from there MINI that is now collecting dust and they would like to sell.

I just got the black line front and rear bezels in
Nice, look forward to seeing them:top:

On an R56 they snap on with the molded clips just using a plastic trim bar will pop them off.
Not sure if it is the same on a F56

Wait. It JUST went out??? You were having issues in May. What the crap.
That lead to this full failure. Fun fun, came to pick her up today and the new transmission had a bad pump bearing. So now another week to have another one shipping in. Hopefully third times the charm. Ebony is being a real B@&$/!!!

Might have to stop by on our way to DC that day. Is the C&C every sunday? Might have to check it out with watson another day in the near future.

Wow, that came out great!
Thanks, it is a bit of a monet. When standing back it looks great, but if you get up to it you see the inperfections. If I decide to keep it I will redo in paint which sure sharpen the lines.
So when are we PDing a union jack on the Lotus:laugh:

WOW! That's awesome. Very nice job laying out the lines. Are you going to use a glossifier on it?
I haven't played with the glossifier, so I need to look at some results. At there moment just staying mat

I'll only go if you stepping down, we need less orange around here! :top:
At least you don't live with one of those orange people.

That should be cool. I got a little heavy handed with the exacto and made a few scratches on the golf so be careful.
I have been considering a full dip JCW style black with a red roof.
I have always liked that color combo. Thanks for the heads up on the exacto, it took a line or two to get the pressure right. I am happy with the way it turned out for a first try. I got a little bleeding on a few tape lines, the humidity in the garage apparently made the tape not bond fully in places.
Here is the gallery of the process for those interested

Well first you need to know the route. They could do what they did in 2010 and do the hub where everyone has different groups meeting in the middle of the country.
There have been several different configurations
True, I would be banking on east to west.

I joked with Brandy that I would try to get orders the Cali in summer 2016 and that way the Govt would pay us to drive MTTS as part of our move.

That looks great! I really like the white roof. I have my daily driver's roof coated right now to test it out before putting any on the mini. Black golf with a didn't-put-on-enough-coats red roof.
Thanks, I saw where pd now has a primer. I think that will be a must next time. I plan on laying out a design on the white soon. I have a couple ideas I need to test before the picinic

Well, it was the pinion that went, and chewed up the splines on one of the axle in the process. Mini considers this all an enclosed system :banghead:, so ebony is getting a whole new transmission and axle. She should be back on the road Tuesday or Wednesday:rock:

thanks for sharing.

Decided this past weekend to address the burgundy seats in Watson. They were the last remaining piece of his original triple red look (exterior, upholstery, and carpet) a true 70's look. The vinyl was starting to shows some tears, and really go with the blue car and black carpet and door cards. I bought some inexpensive cloth upholstery the give the first try, and below are the results. I will likely replace with vinyl or leather down the road now that I have a good pattern from this attempt.
I have definitely improved my sewing skills if nothing else.
I still has the backseat to do:frown:

I am surprised you can set your cruise control that high

I just found this posted on Facebook.
"Subject: MINI Accident Report - No serious injuries - drive safe
During this morning’s leg of MINI TAKES THE STATES, there was a multi-vehicle collision involving eight MINIs. The accident was the result of a chain reaction from a car in the lead having to brake. We are happy to report that there were no injuries to any of those involved in the incident and no one chose treatment as a result. The accident occurred following a police escort while leaving Memphis on Monday morning. 3 cars were towed and the other vehicles were driven to Roadshow MINI for repairs. MINI USA is doing everything in its power to get these Motorers back on the road as soon as possible. We appreciate everyone's concern on this matter and we'll keep everyone posted with updates throughout the rest of MTTS."
Result of the lead car braking? How dare you use your brakes. Could have been worded better MINUSA

80hp is generous, mine came from the factory with 36hp and a few have likely fallen out along the way.
We can cruise at our own pace.
