You will be taking or you will be riding. Not going to make it to cars and coffee, would have to leave the house a 0530 and I am not that motivated this week.
Look forward to seeing you at the M&G though.
OK, weather looks good, I will be taking Minnie and arrive around 7am, hang out for an hour or 2 and roll over to Sterling. -
We will be there. Thanks Laura, I look forward to picking your brain.

what time does it kick off or what time would you plan on getting there?
I can't confirm just yet (weather/wife dependent) but would anyone be interested in attending katie's Cars & Coffee before hand and then drive over to Steerling? That's what we did for our first every Meet and Greet, it would make for a really early morning but you would maximize your car time! -
Brandy won a set of “A” panel graphic graciously donated to the MTTB raffle by one of the club vendors “Itchy Pig” and they look great. I am considering installing them myself.
The process seems pretty straight forward and simple; just preplan, prep, and take our time. I have done plenty of masking off and painting/plastidipping. So I feel I am capable, but does anyone have an experience with vinyl? I would love to pick your brain for personal ticks or what to watch out for.
Thanks

I installed the Madness Motorworks CAI.
Pretty quick and painless install.
Looks good

Brandy would kill me if I brought another aquarium in the house. I will keep an ear out for anyone looking. Are the lights the standard 18" fluorescents or compact ( fixtures single or double tube). No stand correct?

They spelled it D. C. Metro Mini Coopers Club
I knew we should have had Watson in there
Watson is spoiled and rarely sees the rain. Nicer weather and I would have brought him out. Next year to put us over the top

We had fun with Hannah, she was such a free spirit!
She has an evil streak like another redhead[emoji39]

Words cannot express how much fun I had! Thanks Corey for all your hard work and for coming up with such a fantastic theme. And also for letting some of your girls ride around with me! I learned a lot about boy bands and had a great time.
Thanks for letting them ride. You can pull a girl to your car on any run. You and Caylee ( the middle one) will hit it off. Make sure you keep up on your boy band knowledge, if they a cool today. They are likely gross tomorrow.

I think Corey walked the route at least 5 or 5 times while we all road in our warm cozy MINIs
Good thing he's in shape
Not in shape, but moving quickly creates body heat.:top:

Thank you all for all your efforts in decorating your MINIs, and braving the impending weather. The rain held off just long enough, and it was overall a great success.
Here is a link to a slideshow of all the photos:

Very Cool, that looks like the diecast that ROSS to suposed to carry, but I haven't found it yet

I'm looking at the weather and it looks like we should be OK while we prep the cars, during the parade we might get light rain and the heavier rain will be in the afternoon. Let's hope it stays like that
I fingers crossed

How is everyone applying stuff to their cars? I'm concerned about damaging the paint or leaving residue afterward. Additionally my decorations were designed to be used with the top down and no rain, so I'm not sure what to do now. I have a big stuffed bear I was going to tie onto the boot too, but I don't want him all wet either. Suggestions?
He can always ride in the passangers seat and wave!! we will make sure you are on the rightside so it is on the side facing the crowd.
blue painter tape works great with not leaving residue.

To sort of piggy back off of this thread... and to try and make long story short. The reset function on my onboard computer is not responding *scratches head*... I had brakes/rotors and sensor recently replaced on R56 (with the help of private individual, not dealership)... Front brake sensor light recently came on after turning off (post-new brakes) and I followed MiniMania's instructions online on how to reset it. It reset successfully and stayed off for a while... But as of yesterday it's on again and following those same instructions it doesn't seem to want to reset or go away... Any insight? Brakes feel solid.
hopefully the new sensor did not get kinked, it is just a copper wire in there and if it gets damaged it an cause the light to kick on. If you still have the old sensor cut the wire, strip and expose the two copper wires, then twist together. plug it back into the port and reset. it the light goes off the sensor is bad.
I replaced brandy's and like a week later something on the road kicked up and broke it again. i cut it, twisted, and heat wrapped it. not dealing with it again.

Thank you all for coming out. The always improving assembly line made short work of a hundred crackers. We look forward to seeing everyone bright and early Saturday with all your holiday cheer.
-
Turns out I'm not going to be able to make it after all.
Ali - maybe I can circle back with you later to sort out what I need to do? (since we are both "joke" MINIs in the cracker).
No prob, just yell if you need help with anything

I'm not DoD (I'm DHS/ CBP) so I have a PIV not a CAC and a Federal ID for being a CBP employee. should I use one of those or just do the license thing?
License
-
For everyone when you get to the gate. For those that are fed employees just show your CAC. Everyone else just show your drivers license and give them my address. My cell is 910-650-9376 if you have any issues. Or you can reach brandy at 910-650-0138

Well gang, even though I was the one that brought it up, I have to change my RSVP to a "NO"... Personnel changes at the dealership mean I'm stuck working that Saturday now...
Sorry to hear
looking to borrow a trailer

Before I rent one, I figure I would check and see if anyone has a utility trailer (12'x6') that I could borrow for a few hours on the Jan 4th. I would be willing to return with a case of your favorite beverage or something else of your choosing.
