  1. Words cannot express how much fun I had! Thanks Corey for all your hard work and for coming up with such a fantastic theme. And also for letting some of your girls ride around with me! I learned a lot about boy bands and had a great time.

Thanks for letting them ride. You can pull a girl to your car on any run. You and Caylee ( the middle one) will hit it off. Make sure you keep up on your boy band knowledge, if they a cool today. They are likely gross tomorrow.

  2. How is everyone applying stuff to their cars? I'm concerned about damaging the paint or leaving residue afterward. Additionally my decorations were designed to be used with the top down and no rain, so I'm not sure what to do now. I have a big stuffed bear I was going to tie onto the boot too, but I don't want him all wet either. Suggestions?

He can always ride in the passangers seat and wave!! we will make sure you are on the rightside so it is on the side facing the crowd.

blue painter tape works great with not leaving residue.

  3. To sort of piggy back off of this thread... and to try and make long story short. The reset function on my onboard computer is not responding *scratches head*... I had brakes/rotors and sensor recently replaced on R56 (with the help of private individual, not dealership)... Front brake sensor light recently came on after turning off (post-new brakes) and I followed MiniMania's instructions online on how to reset it. It reset successfully and stayed off for a while... But as of yesterday it's on again and following those same instructions it doesn't seem to want to reset or go away... Any insight? Brakes feel solid.

hopefully the new sensor did not get kinked, it is just a copper wire in there and if it gets damaged it an cause the light to kick on. If you still have the old sensor cut the wire, strip and expose the two copper wires, then twist together. plug it back into the port and reset. it the light goes off the sensor is bad.

I replaced brandy's and like a week later something on the road kicked up and broke it again. i cut it, twisted, and heat wrapped it. not dealing with it again.

  5. Hello all,

We were able to solidify some of the planning for the parade at the board meeting last evening.

One of our great vendors, PTuning, has been kind enough to allow us to meet and stage vehicles that are not in the parade in their parking lot. They will have coffee and cookies available at beginning at 0730.

We will be moving to the staging area at 0750, it is less than 2 miles. We must be in the staging area NLT 0830.

We are still looking for a few walkers if anyone is interested in handing out candy and crackers. Also there is still an available spot if someone would like to show off their MINI. Come enjoy the morning with us.

The parade begins at 10:00 and we are 23rd group to roll out (first quarter) so we should be done before noon.

The parade ends only ¾ of a mile from PTuning, we will pick up walkers and return to the PTuning parking lot to unload.

I will be posting an event to help prepare car decorations and assembly crackers on 30 Nov, additional information will be in that thread.

Please feel free to post any questions on this thread, or feel free to PM or email me directly.

Finally I need to send a description of our theme “Cracking Good Time”, below is what I have put together. I am not an English major as those of you that have read my posts can attest. Please read it over and mock any errors or if you have any rewording please let me know. I plan to submit the final draft on Wednesday.

“Much like the uniquely British MINI, the Christmas cracker has been a staple of the Christmas Holiday in Britain. Developed in the Victorian area by Tom Smith as a way to package his bon-bons, they have evolved to today’s version, which contain several key components represented by the MINIs before you.”

  6. The spot is yours if you would like to drive, or we can put you as a walker and then you are less comitted to the event if house stuff comes up. Just let us know.:top:

I'm available this weekend as well, although I'm trying to get some painting accomplished in the new house as well. The hot pink and purple bedroom and bathroom just aren't working for us.
  7. Got you for jokes.

I will have the kids there so there are three to hand out crackers and candy, or carry the banner.

I want as many folks to be able to participate so I plan on walking while brandy drives, but I will hold off on winterizing Watson and if there are no takers I will bring him out.

    Tigger and I want jokes!

    I love the exploding cracker

Catalina can ride her unicycle amongst us and hand out candy if she wants.

    We can't throw anything
