  1. Sweet, you can always find one more thing to PD.:congrats:

Next on my list is to try out a white PD roof.

going to be PD a few parts on my car in a couple of weeks.

    Fenders

    Side mirrors

    Gas Cap

    Rims (once they are repaired)

    Headlight rings

    door handles

    Maybe:

    Roof

    Chrome beltline

Part between fenders with 2 grills (not sure the name of it)

Will post before and after pics:top:

  2. Well after going down the rabbit's hole that is 3309 ATF, i believe that I have come to the conclusion to use Valvoline MaxLife Dexron / Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid for the fuild change. It meet all the specs for 3309, but is a longer lasting better quality fluid.

Anyone think this is a horrible idea, I now open to floor for verbal assualts and opinions.:ridinghorse:

  3. I think pd will be fine as its not in contact. I remember we talked about it, and there is a break in the bumper were you are looking to black our so it will create a break for the pd. So you should be able to have a nice clean line very easily without playing the pull the tape quick game.

Also the gas cap pops off very easy, if you want to black that out. We are always here to help

  4. Before someone tells me that BMW/MINI says the transmission is a lifetime sealed system, I am aware the the fluid is the everlasting gobstopper of fluids.

Brandy's R56 has the automatic transmission and just crossed 80k miles. The transmission feels a bit sluggish shifting from time to time. So I have decided to replace the filter and do a fluid change.

I have done a little research and seen videos on the BMW transmission, and it all seems pretty straight forward. Has anyone done this before and have any tips or pitfalls to watch out for?

  5. Actually we have a member with a Paceman and she loves it! I have gotten them as loaners and enjoyed them.

They exist in the wild and are well loved just like the other MINIs

I agree Ali, I had one for a few days when I loaned Watson to Mini of MoCo. It is fun to drive:motor:, just haven't seen them down this way.

  6. While walking back to the office here on Quantico, I saw an all4, S, red paceman. Before I could finish my thought of, "wow, someone finally bought a paceman", it passed me and I saw PMoA loaner decal on the back window.

Not sure what I will see with my own eyes first bigfoot, a chupacarba, or a paceman owner.

  7. She even had me out there, walking around her car, searching for any sign of PD. Secretly, I kept hoping there would be something there but alas, you let me down and Zparkle and Lona are not yet full ordained members of the PD elite... Unless you count the Frontier that is...

I do think it would look awesome to black out the "Z" emblems and the matte chrome door handles...

Sorry, but not getting in that dog house. The blacked out emblems would look good.

  8. I was in class all day when I read this. Drove me crazy! Couldn't wait to get home and walk around Zparkle to see what you did. I didn't even put my stuff down, but carried everything around the car twice. You got me. I didn't find any plasti-dip. You made me look. :ahhhhh::ahhhhh::ahhhhh:

I figured that would freak you out

  9. Corey, can you plasti-dip Celtic stripes down the hood of the Z? I'll skip the orange rims tho.

Stripes, I have done. Celtic Stripes might be a tall order, alot of taping off. How complex of knotwork, like Craigs old ones? I can experiment on some srap in my garage and see how it comes out. I am always up from a challenge.

    :stupido2:
