    DCMM Annual Meeting

I think we have to re-badge the bike. MINI badges on either side of the tank. Mike had already PDed the bike so that has been done. Hmmm, maybe a a stubby antenna too.

    DCMM Annual Meeting

Hilary, (fixed my incorrect spelling of your name.) I especially like your 2nd photo since it shows 4 separate MINI models... and it isn't taken at a dealership.

    Brothers!

    Very NICE! :top:
  4. I like it. :top: I'm gonna have to think about trying something like that. Nice masking job!
  5. For those of you that we not able to join us last week, or those people at the back of the line, this was the view about 2 miles from the ferry... :banghead: Yes, that is a farm combine/harvester in front of the Ford Explorer, going 5-10 mph. Luckily it turned off our route not too long after this.
  6. Pictures... we have pictures from last week from the MD side of the Potomac! Victoria did her review and sorting of the ~75+ pictures and chose the 35 that passed her quality control. In other words, "Dad, none of the pictures you took were any good." I uploaded them to a Shutterfly shared site:http://minidcmmbab.shutterfly.com/4 I think that the photos look a little dull on the Shutterfly site so if there are ones that you like we can try emailing them or I can burn a disk for you. Nick, you look good on the crossing.
  7. I couldn't resist. You said that you went shopping at HD.
  8. But did you get some... PD? Just trying to hi-jack another string.
  9. You left out a part. You have to say, "My name is Brandy, I'm a MINIac, and I have a problem with PB." Hello Brandy! :congrats:
  10. I have passed on everyone's praise and thanks to Victoria and she wants to participate in a future run/event. Now, everyone that mentioned to her about getting a MINI when she gets her license... please don't give her ideas. She is saving for a new Nikon SLR... I mean Cannon... The pictures... she is combining the pictures from her small camera and my iPhone and packaging them. She has to finish 2 or 3 college applications before she can finish the pictures but we will have them out before the end of the week.
  11. Catalina, sorry about that. I learned the run style for my first 5 C3M runs so I wasn't sure of the pace. I can modify that in the future. :embarassed:
  12. There was a Porsche club meeting in/around Poolesville on Sunday. It could have been them.
  13. Stolen camera... really? That stinks. Such a fun event and someone has to ruin it. :security:
  14. I would check that. Some clear coats can interact differently with paints and PD. It would be unfortunate to do all the work and then expect to pull off the PD cleanly and have it stick or do damage to the body paint.
  15. :motor: :puke: Sorry about that. We tend to get into the runs and a little spirited.
  16. +1 (I agree with you.)
  17. I'm sorry that I didn't give you my extra radio, I thought about it when we turned onto Jerusalem Rd. It does help with the run and you get much more information during the run (on coming cars, bicyclists, debris, etc.). Search the board, there are a few threads that discuss the different brands and options. You don't have to pay to much for a decent set. Oh, and next time can you tell your neighbors to keep the combine-harvester and tractor off the road until we have passed? Just our luck! :banghead:
  18. Craig, Thanks. I'll pass on the message to Victoria. She had fun and likes everyone too. Go figure? :stupid: I hope she participates in future events.
  19. Yes, that would help. If you have them bring them.
  20. We should be at the MINI MoCo party around/before noon.
  21. Celia, btwn 10:30 and 10:45 in the parking lot at Whites Ferry (MD side). The Virginians are meeting at the Home Depot on the VA side and leaving for the ferry around 10:30. I'm hoping they are on the MD side soon after 10:45.
  22. Here is a map of Seneca Creek State Park. The Park entrance is from Clopper Rd and the picnic pavilion (the Buck Pavilion) is into the park some ways. http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/central/senecamap.asp
  23. It is good to start at the Home Depot only about 3 miles from Whites Ferry but make sure you leave at 10:30. That will give you time to get to the ferry, cross over, meet up with the Marylanders, and drive the direct route or twisty, hilly, country roads of western MoCo to the park... only ~3 miles longer than the direct route. I'm still working out the bugs with Michael but here is a PROPOSED slightly longer but more fun route from the ferry to the park: (23.0 miles from the ferry to the park.) Click on the "Include Large Map" box to see the map. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=White's+Ferry+Inc,+3,+Maryland&daddr=39.15416,-77.41613+to:39.1775039,-77.3855037+to:39.165584,-77.338739+to:39.1538329,-77.3409547+to:39.16335,-77.28481+to:11950+Clopper+Road,+Gaithersburg,+MD+20878&geocode=FYd0VQIdcSph-yGut0k_O9oWHCmPOf_T2SK2iTGut0k_O9oWHA%3BFfBxVQIdPrli-yndouGDGCW2iTEF_QHds_HX5Q%3BFR_NVQId4TBj-ykVzwluhCW2iTEmiyeoS8a6IA%3BFZCeVQIdjedj-ymfV4A6Gy-2iTGQj-EQarWzHQ%3BFahwVQId5t5j-ymxBgAEry-2iTEnQ2HbCR5XYA%3BFdaVVQIdNrpk-ylnD_d6Kiy2iTHXsZAFmKlnOA%3BFVFkVQIdKkRl-ynRcuLVrS22iTGHut9dK6zhLQ&aq=0&oq=whites+ferry,+maryland+&sll=39.156687,-77.307186&sspn=0.040199,0.078363&vpsrc=6&gl=us&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrsp=5&sz=14&via=1,2,3,4,5&ie=UTF8&ll=39.165472,-77.333965&spn=0.040194,0.078363&t=m&z=14&layer=c&ei=TdRTUJycIejTxQHsjIGoBA&pw=2
  24. You don't eat much and they can't say no to a DCMM exec.
  25. But you have to wait a few weeks for the paint to fully cure (sp?) before the bra can be installed.
