  1. Ew all of these dirty cars tomorrow.
  2. Lucy is dirty too
  3. I call dibs on riding in at least one
  4. I'm very excited about this run. My friend's daughter, Hope, will be joining me as my passenger and my friend Jeremy is bringing his Lotus to play.
  5. I saw a silver Countryman on 123 in Vienna heading northbound around 4:30 yesterday. They had a euro plate that said "MINIMAL" ... No wave though.
  6. It doesn't count when we have plans to hang out lol
  7. I'm sad, no one ever sees Lucy and I in the wild!
  8. I see them regularly!!!! They never wave. If you see a crazy lady on Hoadly in a laser blue, white roof, no front license plate, roof rack, and rear license plate that says GRL PLZ (crap and dark windows) that's me!!! I live off Hoadly and have been scaring people lately.
  9. I will be out of town at the Dragon
  10. I'll let you know! I've never been there before I think someone suggested it to Catalina so I can't take all the credit
  11. Alrighty so I'm not sure what method of communication everyone is using so in case you are not my Facebook friend or didn't check your inbox: I have coordinated a route that I don't mind leading in a more spirited manner. Meet up at Starbucks off the corner of Prince William Parkway and Hoadly Rd (12853 Galveston Court Manassas, VA 20112) at 9:30. From Starbucks, we will head down Hoadly Rd, turn right on Purcell Rd. Follow Purcell to the end, turn left on (234) Dumfries Rd. Then turn right on Independent Hill Rd then left on Bristow then slight right on Joplin Rd (619). Joplin Rd is a 45 mph scenic road. Then we will hop on 95 S for about 20 miles to exit 130A Plank Rd/State 3 E towards Fredericksburg to Route 1. Then take Route 1 to VA-208 W/Courthouse Rd to County Rd 606/VA-208 W/Courthouse Rd to US-522 S/VA-208 W/Zachary Taylor Hwy. I will be using my factory nav and iPhone as needed. Please bring two way radios and make sure they're on 7-21 if you feel like doing a caravan with me. If you don't, see you at the winery
  12. Welcome!! We look forward to seeing you soon. Come down to the event at Cooper Vineyards if you can!
  13. I've gone to Wagon Work in Alexandria. They did a phenomenal job when Lucy got keyed. The preferred shops apparently aren't always as good of quality. I know Wagon Work had Mr. OEM (Haemish's car) for a bit. They're very very very reliable and diligent. I'd go there over anywhere else.
  14. I'd like to caravan but I think we should hit some fun roads
  15. Those look like ESMs. Are they? I'm particularly a fan but I have odd taste. My friend Jaremy in California had ones like that on his grey hardtop. I think they look nice, if you go for stance though.
  16. I'm a wave initiator. I'm the obnoxious one honking and arms out waving at people. So they wave back. Yesterday, I want to say it was on Henderson Rd in Clifton, black Cooper S with white stripes down the middle, she waved. Then a little later, saw a silver cabrio with black bonnet stripes and top up, no wave. And mind you, yesterday was gorgeous. I was very fussy that they had their top up. Monday, I drove up Hoadly Rd in Manassas, got waves from both MINIs I saw - one was a blue Countryman, the other sad a Clubman.
  17. Yay!!!!! I will look for you. I commute through Clifton every day
  18. I was on the Baltimore Washington Parkway yesterday and I'm 95% certain that I spotted Carl with the Checkmate, around 9:30 am? If it wasn't Carl, it was another Checkmate. I waved, I wasn't sure if they saw me since they were going opposite way of me. I also saw a Clubman with a basket on top, I waved, they did not
  19. This makes me sad
  20. She looks so amazing!!!!! I love it! I'm glad you guys went to visit Chad at Detroit Tuned!
  21. I just took my stripes off that have been on my car since 2007. With a good buff and polish (that I have yet to get around to) it won't be noticeable.
  22. *wolf whistle* hubba hubba
  23. Here's a link I found: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?30045-How-To-Maintain-Vinyl-Graphics-Stickers-Stripes-Decals You can use water and soap on them, it won't hurt. It's just stickers really. I had bonnet stripes on my car (just took them off earlier this summer). They were put on in 2007, when the original owner got my car. When I first got her in September 2011, the stripes were a really gross off-white, faded, dirty color. So my friend and I took some time to detail my car. We washed her with really soapy water. Then did a clay bar, even on the stripes, and then polished the car as well as stripes. They came back to life. I think you should be fine however you choose to clean the vinyl. I wouldn't necessarily get some fancy chemical. I also have a huge banner across my windshield that says Detroit Tuned and I put window cleaner on it when I clean the windows.
  24. No one ever waves to me! I'm kinda jealous.
  25. I chased a Pepper White Clubman S through Clifton this morning. We both took it quite spirited. I waved, I didn't really get much acknowledgement other than him speeding up. I guess he thought I was saying "Go faster!" :banghead:
