  1. Great, now we can count on Craig to make gummy bear fruit cake :stupid:
  2. I have an idea for a restaurant for another dinner. It's one of my favorite places to eat. Food Matters http://foodmattersva.com/ They're off of Duke Street, between 395 and Old Town Alexandria. they're set in a little village like town i
  3. Chris - You are not good for my wallet. First I need the better camera, then I'll think about a game.
  4. I only have an older Xbox, I am not buying a PS3, but you guys are tempting me
  5. I think this is a different driving game but did you guys see this article. Pretty interesting, they took the world champion in iRacing and put him behind the wheel of a real race car on the track. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/geek-rebooted-2010-11-26?imageNo=0
  6. What if I make really tasty cookies in the shape of a bear? Is that OK?
  7. Educate me please, I am guessing this is some sort of driving game. It sounds fun and the pics are cool Ali
  8. I saw the Laurel today in my parking lot The new lights look great!
  9. Do you guys think you'll still be there around 8:30? I forgot that I have a massage scheduled for 7:00 that night Ali
  10. I'm sure you'll do something cool with them :top:
  11. They seemed to ride fine for me, they've been on the car since it was new. When I had the last tires put on those guys would have told me if they saw any issues with the rims. Ali
  12. I just ordered my new winter tires (Continental Extreme Snow) and dropped the S-Lite rims off at the service station. One of the guys at the station saw me unloading the rims and made it his duty to let me know that the Rota's I had on the car were much better looking and asked why would I change them. In the meantime the manager has already realized that I am not the typical female client so he defended me right away before I could explain. It was pretty funny They might paint the S-Lites for me, I'm waiting on a price. If it's reasonable I'll do it, I just don't have the time right now and they are tireless. Hoping this whole tire thing is finally over Ali
  13. They're gone!! My back yard looks better and I no longer fear a HO association violation. Ali
  14. That could work if I can clean a corner of the basement for painting. Don't I need ventilation?
  15. I was thinking a dark graphite, I'm afraid orange is too much. But I don't think I will be able to paint them until Spring. It's probably too cold to paint now.
  16. Being in school myself, I'm happy to help out
  17. Yes they're the two piece ones. They are structurally fine. I just don't need 3 sets of rims and don't want to sand and clean these things down to fix them up. The back yard is small and lately it's full of tires Ali
  18. Yup, the rims have found a home I'm keeping them
  19. That was fun and easy. I filled it out. Good luck on your assignment Ali
  20. I have a set of Web Spokes, the clear coat is gone on a few of the center rims, they have some road rash. They could be fixed up but I just don't want to deal with it. They have set of older Pirelli snow sports on them, one of which is flat and can't be fixed. I'm in Alexandria, near the Annandale line Free if you want them, just send me a PM Ali
  21. I'm making myself nuts here but I've decided to keep the S Lites and paint them. The Web spokes that I have are in worse shape so I'm going to get rid of them instead. Ali
  22. I figured they could be patched because we noticed a patch in one of Mark's runflats after they changed him out to winter tires. I guess I'll see what they look like in the morning and decide if I need to take them somewhere or if it's holding the air. If they have a leak, they should lose pressure overnight, right? I can probably take it to the gas station near the house if it's just a leak, or maybe Sears can help me. The place that usually handles my tires (one of the only places I could find to do runflats) is on the south side of Springfield, so I don't want to go that far with a leaky tire. Hey Craig - I NOW have an official tire obsession. OY!
  23. Well in case anyone is wondering what the sound of a flat runflat is, I now know. it makes the whole side of the car vibrate. It's not like the thump thump of a regular tire, it's much more extreme then that. It was loud and really rough, I heard it over my loud music even, well probably felt it. I just got my first flat, luckily I was leaving the house and figured it out before I'd gone a block. Of course, I call Craig and tell him the car is making an awful sound. The TPI came on a few days ago, but that happens on and off and it's never meant anything so like an idiot I just push the button, it goes out in a few miles and I forget to check the tire pressure. It never came back on and I drove for several days. After giving this tidbit to Craig he suggests that now would be a good time to check the tire pressure. I had 3 tires at 30 psi and one at 0psi. A HA! He's such a good Best MINI Friend Forever (BMFF) So I limped Tigger home and put air in the tire. So far it's holding. I'm not going to drive him till the morning, see if it's still got air then. The lesson I learned is that sometimes the TPI is right, and every time that thing goes on, check the tire pressure. Hopefully I don't need a new tire, because I've got those Pirelli Snow Sports on and no one has them in stock. Ali
  24. Not sure what I'm making yet. what to bring? what to bring?
  25. hmmmmmm I can't possibly meet your high standards in detailing yeah that's it...
