  1. First year we arrived on Friday Second year we arrived on Wed Now we arrive on Monday It's THAT good :top:
  2. Here's a link to the thread on Motoring Alliance. Post here and don't start your own thread because this is where people that are looking for a roommate will look. http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/minis-dragon-11-may-1-5-2013-tn-nc/15141-lodging-have-need-etc.html#axzz2EJiAMEoq
  3. That's a really sharp image
  4. Sorry Chris, I don't like using conversion mounts.
  5. If it was a Canon, I'd be trying to buy it
  6. That would be an excellent portrait lens. Besides the bokeh it really flattens out the facial features to make them more flattering.
  7. I saw a liquid yellow with a license plate MINIACK, he flew by me in the HOV, but no wave
  8. nice
  9. Did he see you? Mike is a great waver :itsme:
  10. Oooh what color? I love the Elise :top:
  11. Don't we just pay that when we buy them? Do you also pay it when you register a new car? I did notice that this year the Fairfax county tax almost doubled :banghead:
  12. Hey Sara Welcome! and have you named your MINI yet? MINIs love to have names You are going to love that car more and more, it can kind of possess you :top:
  13. I'm not sure what the VA double taxing is either, except for those of us in Fairfax county that pay a fairly high annual car tax. Do all of the countys do that?
  14. Both of those areas are less expensive. I think Woodbridge would be an easier commute then Manassas
  15. It is odd. I guess no comfort access, but we can drive it keyless
  16. To be safe you could book into the Microtel and cancel when you find something else. It's about a 30 minute drive
  17. You should be able to get into a cabin since people tend to cancel. It's best to call Fontana and get on the waiting list for a cabin. Also watch Motoring Alliance, people with spare rooms will post there and on NAM. Watch with the cabin shares to see if it includes a bed space, I've heard of some people packing in a bunch of people on air mattresses. If that works for you, great, but I know I'd want a real live bed. I hope you can make it out there, you'll love it. Honestly words can't describe how much fun it is
  18. Now if only we could talk to our wrist and call it to come get us...
  19. be sure to post on motoring alliance too Yes, but it fills up too. You should call now to see
  20. So does this make sense? If I am driving Max (2009 JCW), stop, turn him off, remove the key, then push in the clutch and hit the start button, he will start up and drive without the key in. But that's the only time he does it. If I get in the car with the key he won't start keyless. The doors won't unlock keyless. I have to start with the key, turn off, remove key and quickly restart again. So, I'm guessing he doesn't have comfort access, but then why would he ever start keyless at all???
  21. I finally got the AAA extended warranty, and it has been awesome. Covers most everything. They handle all kinds of makes and models.
  22. Here's what Lona posted in the events feelers and planners This is from Randy's email: Just a few parameters on the dents I will be able to work on that day. Side panels only such as doors, fenders, quarter panels, hatch and some bonnets (hoods). I prefer no roofs, a pillars, rails simple because I would need to remove the headliner to gain access and it might take too long and I would like to accommodate as many people as I can. If I do come across a easy one I will consider it case by case. I can definitely make an appointment to have them bring it to one of my locations to do those kinds of dents that I will not be able to do that day. A few other things about the size of the dents. "Typical" door dings and dents and some larger sized dents are fine. Large dents, creases are something I would need to have more time to work on and they would need to be brought into my shop, as they can take up to 4 hours to work on one dent. As far as pricing, typically the cost is $150 per panel for up to 3-4 dents average dents (average dent is a half dollar or smaller) per panel, no sharp or creased dents, no dents on body lines, or edges of panels. I will drop that price down to $50 per panel based on the above circumstances, simply because of the number of cars you anticipate. I have tried to lay everything out for you so everyone knows what to expect. I want everyone to be happy and no confusion. I hope it helps, and if anyone has any questions about what I will be able to do and will not be able to do they can email me 2-3 pictures from a few feet back at about a 45 degree angle from both sides showing the dent. They can email them to me at randycoffey17@yahoo.com or feel free to call me at 703-978-7800
