  1. Thanks, I'm starting to understand better now. I don't want to waste my money.
  2. She's right you and Minnie will totally bond and learn each other. You're also in a safe controlled environment to learn about the limits of you car. For example, I finally pushed Tigger till the back end broke out and did a 180. I can't do that on the roads and I learned a lot about him doing that. Last Fall my tires were getting to the end of their life, I misjudged going into a turn on Skyline and went in too hot. Tigger started to break out a bit and because of autocross I instinctively reacted and didn't make things worse. I'm sure the DSC helped with that too. Add to that the adrenaline rush and the fun factor. We need more MINIs and more women out there doing autocross with us!!!
  3. Thanks, that helps a ton Now I have a clue
  4. OK guys I know nothing, except how to use it. I've used one a few times and I understand that part. like what pound range do I want for tires? I get that Sears is good and I know they have their own brand so I can go there and look. But I just am trying to understand what I look for. What price range should I be looking at? Like is a $30 wrench going to last or should I be looking at the better ones? Is there a length that's best to look for. Are there accuracy ratings? Little words and pictures if you want. I figure I'll need a set of sockets too? Do they just make ones that are designed for tires? Are all of the tire ones the same? Be verbose, I don't care
  5. Ok, but I don't know what to look for? How do I know it's a good one? I understand there can be varying levels of quality.
  6. You should see if you can get into the school. Autocross is a blast and I've learned a lot from it
  7. I want a torque wrench so I can keep an eye on my wheels. I have no idea what is best. I was looking on Amazon. I don't want to buy something super expensive, just something decent. Here's a link to the ones on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_6?url=search-alias%3Dautomotive&field-keywords=torque%20wrench&sprefix=torque%2Caps%2C287 suggestions?
  8. It happens and you learn from it. I'm sure you were much more aware on later runs. I've had runs where I just went super slow and pulled over for every one because I just didn't feel right. It's the people that are either not aware or just don't care that are the real problem. You really can't lose focus at all on that road. You don't adjust the radio, you don't do anything but drive and watch ahead. As far ahead as you can see. I remember when I drove Craig's old MINI Archie on the Dragon the first year. He kept saying, "Look at the road, I'll wave"

  16. GRRRRRRR It could be anyone in shopping centers. People just don't look or care.
  17. I'm confused, can't find the shirt
  18. Driving to work with the commoners in the rain was so depressing:frown:
  19. I think he paid around $300, which is a lot cheaper then the dealer.
  20. Mark had his done at the Dragon by Helix. They found moderate carbon so it was a perfect time to do it. I think it took a little over an hour to do and that was with electrical issues in the tent.
  21. Yup, I drove with the commoners this morning, got cut off by two Camry's. Welcome home!!! Now I'm pawing through a weeks worth of Email. Mark got home last night with stories of the beltway drivers and how horrible his commute was. I miss our MINI community.
  22. It was great having you there. Edna is a real beast and she looked great. Hmmmm the Lotus is flashy enough don't ya think? I'm still smiling from my ride in it. Most thrilling and scary Dragon ride I've been on. The night is a whole different experience.
  23. There's a story behind that of course I think people started voting for her as a joke since there was no Paceman. Then they didn't give her the trophy officially. Later Stephanie was in the Out Motoring tent and they were trying to get rid of the 2 Paceman trophies since they didn't want them, so she took them and gave Celia the first place one since we knew she had votes and had probably won it
  24. Imagine our surprise when GP 060 shows up and we get the esteemed honor of Quitta on our couch for the rest of the week. Made the Dragon way better
  25. She also got second place R56 and 1st place Paceman
